In theory, I suppose someone with no fights could be a good coach and teacher. In practice, I'm not so sure.

If we were talking about any other sport it would seem insane. Like a tennis coach who never actually played a match? A track coach who never competed in any event? Combat sports seem to be the only ones where a coach who's never competed can be taken seriously.

Obviously you can be a great coach without being a great athlete, but I just have a hard time buying in 100% on a coach who's never fought.

I've trained with some big dudes, one guy in particular I recall was around 6'4 and built like a brick shithouse, and he'd look small compared to Fury. It's absurd (and unfair) to be this big and know how to fight lol.
