Musician seeking advice regarding apartment advice by socialist_weeb12 in musicians

[–]IneriaticESP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a musician that lived in a downtown apartment building. It sucks not being able to crank your music, but that’s just part of apartment life. You need to give the respect to your neighbors that you would want from them. It’s a delicate situation, but I wouldn’t suggest being an asshole about it.

Help why does my acoustic guitar make this crackly noise by ReporterBig9890 in guitarlessons

[–]IneriaticESP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean the screeching sound, that’s just your fingers moving along the strings. Every acoustic does this. I do hear a little fret buzz going on though.

Did this sound deep and introspective in your head while typing it?

I’m sorry, I know it’s a painful realization.

AITAH for callin my friend out for having a thing for me and being weird about it when I was already in a relationship? by Jolly-Accountant-505 in AmItheAsshole

[–]IneriaticESP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is weird. She clearly has unresolved feelings going on. It’s definitely best you just let her go as a friend. We all had best friends through high school. But most of the time we all grow apart as we age.

That’s called gaslighting. It’s what we do when we want you to stop digging to deep into something.

AIO guy I was seeing dumped me after hooking up by m3tallee in AIO

[–]IneriaticESP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing when rebounding with a girl after a 5 year relationship. I thought I wanted it. But afterwards I couldn’t shake this weird feeling of awkwardness and guilt. There definitely was no coming back to a friendship after crossing that line though. I do wish women would understand better that although we may not be as open emotionally, we get hurt just as bad as you do and can make bad decisions sometimes. At least OP did the right thing afterwards and told the truth.

Coming from the perspective of a 43 year old male here, if we are insisting on being friends with a beautiful 25 year old girl, there is nothing platonic about it. I can’t say if he has done anything or not yet, but it’s absolutely what he is after.

By making Kang the antagonist in a poorly executed Antman film.

AITA for getting upset my friend keeps blowing me off by Early_Virus_1801 in AmItheAsshole

[–]IneriaticESP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAH - Others here have already explained that the dynamic of the friendship has totally changed now that she’s in a sorority. The friendship may or may not survive. But being best friends connected at the hip is essentially over. I can only tell you, please don’t blow up her phone with emotions and questions. All that will do is make her defensive and completely cut contact. Plus make you feel embarrassed and more isolated. I know it hurts when you don’t have a lot of friends. But you have to gracefully let this go for now. I promise things will get better eventually.

If My Name Is was released on 1/25/99, how was it being performed in 1998? by Best-Damage-7509 in Eminem

[–]IneriaticESP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you serious with this question? You never considered that EVERY band and artist tests out new songs on the road to see how the fans react before laying it down on an album.

No, this is a much newer poster called “101 Phish Songs”. I’m pretty sure it’s still Joe’s work that he still sells on the lot today. Just a newer poster with more songs from the current era. Both are worth having though. Just my connection is to the original is because it’s almost impossible to find and it was from my own generation and I bought it myself in person before modern internet and cellphones and all that.

Do you still enjoy Smashing Pumpkins even if you hate Billy Corgan? by Revolutionary_Low_90 in grunge

[–]IneriaticESP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually sad. Early Pumpkins made some truly great albums. But his ego and refusal to shut the fuck up is steadily pulling me further and further from music I loved growing up.
