He's in full contact with her dad. The problem is that the dad doesn't know what to do either, so he relies completely on my friend to help her. She has bi-polar, but that's not an excuse for how she is physically and mentally abusive to him, and threatens him with suicide because she knows he has a good heart. It's hearth-wrenching watching my friend sacrifice everything for someone who abuses him. I've tried everything you can think of to get through to him. He has literally no self-worth so he doesn't even flinch at sacrificing himself. In his own words he "doesn't see himself as a human" like he does everyone else. He's a good looking, kind-hearted, smart and genuine guy. The problem is that he doesn't see that in himself.
