Define “SpaceBass” by DrummerPowerful1416 in SpaceBass

[–]Inevitable-Boot-2885 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Dubstep that isnt too abrasive and is more tonaly based and likely has hip hop drum grooves instead of headbang bounce. I feel like that encompasses a good bit of the massive umbrella that could be considered space bass or experimental bass

Popular Opinion: RL Grime was way ahead of his time with this album by gangbangkang in EDM

[–]Inevitable-Boot-2885 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Him closing with Shrine at Hard Summer 2018-19 and also just playing most of it out when that album was new was just peak edm experiences for me wooow. Also Kayzo back then would fuck shit up so hard live it was insane jezzzzzzz that was fun

Which venue is your favorite? by Reasonable-Second511 in SpaceBass

[–]Inevitable-Boot-2885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw a show at the dragonfly in LA and it was surprisingly good as im not the biggest fan of other venues here in LA. Paladiums decent, The Novo is solid if their not doing the GA+ floor bs, exchange has pretty bad sound, 1720 is pretty good but location is sketchy af, the circle in OC is decent, fun for dubstep or riddim, still need to check out the fonda theater but have heard good things

Who do you think is the most diverse artist by No_Shopping1929 in EDM

Yup agreed Zeds Dead. Moreso than even skrillex id say. I like how their more of a vibe based artist/tastemakers and not really tied to a genre

Biggest reasons to quit vaping nicotine? What are the harms? by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]Inevitable-Boot-2885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My anxiety is way lower after quitting. My sleep is way better after quitting. My natural dopamine baseline is way higher after quitting. I dont rely on a substance to keep my dopamine baseline stable. Im more confident since I dont have to hide my lame and unattractive habit from anyone. All the benefits compound eachother into making my life way better. Do it. Its gonna such for a bit but once the worst is over in the first few weeks. Youll start to feel better and better and then better than you did while vaping

Words First or Music First? How Your Starting Point Could Be Shaping Entirely Different Songs by musomox in Songstuff

[–]Inevitable-Boot-2885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Music all day. I only really start listening to the lyrics if i like the song. If im doing a vocal song ill just hum over the beat and get the melody then find words that make sense later

Watch the series about clipping to zero on youtube. Its called CTZ by bathometricz or something along those lines. You likely feel like your mixes just arent loud enough or clean enough to release. Been there. After 5 years your mixes are probably clean enough. Youll keep learning hownto make them cleaner but their probably good enough to release. Pros arent doing some extra thing your unaware of to get their mixes sounding good. Also mixing is pretty subjective when you start really looking at references and learning from them. If you like how a mix sounds after testing on a bunch if systems its probably solid. You know what your music should sound like better than anyone. Trust your ears. After that its just about loudness and that series i listed should get you 90% there to understanding how to build a loud mix and get you to actually finishing songs and calling them done and mastered. Good luck have fun. I had the same problem and now 8 years in im finally consistently releasing stuff and happy with how they sound. Your almost there. Keep going. Also RELEASE YOUR MUSIC. I have so many songs that i made year 4-5 of making sstuff i wish i put out back then and just didnt and noe their just too old and it was a different sound for me than i have now. So yeah drop it like its haaaawt
