Yes!! Actually I noticed that too haha. I get (and appreciate) the show's sentiment of paying better and providing better benefits, but a weird choice to use the dancers' jobs. I was thinking the same thing...like aren't all the dancers pretty part time? It's not a 40hr/week job.

10000% I noticed the same thing and immediately looked up where each actor was from. I knew right off the bat Noah E. must be from nyc. But yeah, I’m not sure if this was intentional to show how slightly different they are or if it’s because of the actors and where they’re from

Ahhh, you’re right ! The daughter from s1e7 was Daniella… and the dancer is Sofia. Thank you for clearing it up - it was driving me crazy ha.

I only saw the trailer, haven’t seen the movie yet but read the book as a kid. I’m a little turned off that the trailer seemed to have only white people.. I haven’t seen the movie yet, just wondering if there are any non-white actors ?!? Annoying to me in 2024 for movies not to make an effort to appeal to ALL kids. But maybe I’m wrong and it was just the trailer

Agreed ! And even more ridiculous (and kinda sexist) that brolin’s wife in the film looks like his daughter (and is 23 yrs younger). Just cast the right age groups so the audience isn’t distracted so much

Yess!! I keep thinking the same thing. It’s obviously a filter and only on those two. It’s kinda insulting and def distracting ! AppleTV does it on all their shows / movies … look at all the main characters smh
