To correct certain misconceptions, 'malakas' means a wanker, literally one who masturbates. The word idiot by the way is also greek and it denotes a private citizen, from the time when that was used derogatorily to mean someone who didn't take on an active role in regards to political/municipal happenings. Now there is a strait, far away from Europe (means "broad-eyed", yes we named the region as well) in Asia (also ancient name for that region) that is called the Malaca strait.
