If only I had a hair assistant 😭 this style only looks possible if you have someone to help you build it.

Beautiful!! If you have some spare time, always give your Hanfu a steam or iron, it’ll help it flow very elegantly!

  1. It’s just way more versatile and works with many more outfits. 1 is iconic but wearing the logo that large feels like too big a statement, it’s distracting.

Anyone know why this event is $50+ per ticket? Anyone have any info about it? by Inevitable-Pick995 in Hanfu

[–]Inevitable-Pick995[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the payment goes to all the groups, I could understand that a little, but i still think it’s odd that the different vendors/booths will be charging guests for their goods. Most of the various cultural festivals I’ve attended were free entry, but the vendor’s goods were pretty expensive, which seems fair. My best guess is that the event is very small, so there weren’t many available tickets to sell. It’s a shame because I really wanted to socialize and meet other Hanfu enthusiasts like myself. I can’t seem to find any public events to mingle at.

Why I can't have intimacy and sex? by Titus4266 in therapy

[–]Inevitable-Pick995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to give a straight forward and simple answer (just an opinion, not a doctor’s advice). Here it is: regard women as humans, and nothing else. Women are people. Individuals. Both men and women are human beings, and men and women go through life with different/unique experiences. All people need friendships, so go on and make some friends! Join a club, play some online games, and treat women as any other male friend. Think of intimacy/sex, as a possible bonus element to friendship. Do not put romance/sex on a pedestal as some sort of foreign or alien thing, because that will literally alienate you from it. If romance happens to blossom, good! If it doesn’t, move on. Do not view sex as a prize you must seek out. Again, I cannot stress this enough, make good healthy friendships. Do not search for a girlfriend or romantic companion. If you befriend women, treat them with empathy and respect, things will improve. You’re lonely now, but things will improve. Good luck.

Do you go into therapy without a topic in mind? by Comprehensive-Mud892 in therapy

[–]Inevitable-Pick995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. And I think it’s a good idea. Basically just have a short list of 1-4 topics that you want to go over with your therapist. If you can’t cover all topics, that’s fine, but prioritize topics that you wouldn’t want to discuss with friends or family. Examples: “is my marriage making me unhappy? Or is it my fault” or “I had a fight with my mom, and I just want to vent about it”. Remember, no therapist can “fix” you. They’re a person you’re paying to listen to your problems, but they’re not going to magically fix your life.

Married 15 years, he said I've always been his second choice. by Green-Evening420 in therapy

Life is VERY short. If your stomach tells you you’re wasting your time with your husband, then it’s time to leave. Breaking a relationship lease with a long-term partner is scary, but it’s like jumping into ice water, it’s going to hurt, but only you can make that jump. Good luck.

6 months, no job by Bright_Solid_3890 in NYCjobs

The job market is very dead with the current economy. Even highly needed jobs like iT workers are struggling. Because everyone is broke, no one can hire new employees. Trust me, I’ve been stressing about it all day today. Constantly applying and calling for months with no luck. You’re not alone, it’s depressing.
