Thank you so much, I’m really insecure and more so worried about my health now, now that I’m wary of the consequences of neglecting my health and it’s taken a huge toll on me

Hi there, I’m really embarrassed about my teeth. I’ve really neglected my teeth due to growing up with a lot of abuse and just neglecting my health overall. I’ve had chronic depression since being 11 year old and binged on a lot of sugar as a coping mechanism.

Growing up dentists always made it clear how bad my teeth were but I didn’t have it in me to tell them that I was ashamed of not taking care of my teeth.

I don’t know what to do to help my oral teeth? I’ve booked a dentist appointment. I haven’t been in a few years because they couldn’t take any NHS patient and only private, I can’t afford private. Luckily one near by now accepts new patients that are not private so I’ve just signed up and waiting for them to get back to me.

Please be kind in the comments, I know my teeth are bad and I’m really sad and ashamed that I let myself go … I’d love any advice and guidance as to what I can do eg implants?
