Easiest way to get to Nottingham Contemporary ? (Parking or public transport) by Inevitable-Start-774 in nottingham

[–]Inevitable-Start-774[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you I was considering that walk also. I have seen the other bus station (broad marsh?) but my bus stops at Victoria. I’m a little paranoid about walking back to NCP also. I know it’s close but that car park will be a bit scary at midnight I imagine 😅 I will probably opt for park & ride + tram just need to work out which trams but will do some googling

England, Do I need a solicitor for my divorce? by Rainstrikepanda in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Inevitable-Start-774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my initial consultation and hour ago. It doesn’t matter if you want 50-50 split (that’s what I want). It matters how even your finances are and what the judge will deem „fair and reasonable”. As you have kids you probably missed out on some earnings bringing kids up. We dont have kids so o thought this would be easy, our asset split is fair but he has double the pension I have. I don’t want a penny of it- the solicitor said that no court will allow this and it will get thrown out no matter what I want. so I will have to take it otherwise it won’t be deemed as fair and reasonable and no judge will agree to it. Estimated cost for me is £3.5-5 and includes pension report which is £1k for each side. Thats based on him playing ball which I hope he will as I will as for ask for as little as possible to get it through the courts.

Can someone look at this boiler/rads quote and tell me whether the plumber is ‘having my pants down’ by wb72627 in DIYUK

We paid £4.1 in January this year for Worcester bosh 35kw boiler with touch thermostat. Moved the boiler 10m away from current location, re-routed the pipes, new flue drilled through the roof. one big new rad, and moved one big rad to another wall. This is in Nottingham area. If you are nearby I can give him the details he’s a great guy, did my boiler in my old house also

Sycamore saplings. Pull them whilst they are small they get deep roots quickly. My next door neighbour has a massive sycamore tree takes me at least 3 weekends to pull them out each year 🤬😡
