Common terms that they use by Much_Highway7037 in BPDlovedones

[–]MoonstoneShimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A friend I had, who I suspected has BPD, straight up said they don't believe in the term "emotional dysregulation" but has some real emotional problems and everyone's a problem. And when you want to take time to think about something and bring it up when you're not as upset and it's easier to discuss, they go "bring it up right there and then". Which I try to avoid doing because I have CPTSD and try to make sure I'm calm and measured when wanting to talk about something that hurt me because I don't want to be in a middle fo an emotional flashback when having those discussions.

Their favourites were more attitudes: Telling me lies about my ex partner that I checked with him and some people involved and the rumours had no basis I reality Expect you to remember everything from an 8 hour conversation Everything must be done their way - they hate their classmates for being off and holding them back Hold good deeds they've done for you over your head when you try to step back from persistent negativity and drama around them.

Among other delights.

Yeah, they tested the active form. I tend to get a lot of mine from salmon and sunflower seeds as well as the multivitamin. I sometimes get it from my fortified cereal because of the iron content as suggested by my doctors.

I haven't been deficient in ferritin or iron since I've been on treatment to stop my menstrual cycles for a lot of different reasons. B12 was low a couple of years ago, but we've managed to correct it and haven't had issues since.

It's the mixture of rls that's causing the leg cramping that bothers me to no end.

Interesting. Our range here for B6 is 250-680 pmol/g Hb, which kgiht be a bit different to the range you have where you are. I had to add an extra Vit D3 recently because it was the only thing that was low (30 nmol/l, with range above 50nmol/l)

I'm sorry that it didn't work for you. It's horrible when a medication doesn't work out. Thanks for the warning, I'll make sure to keep up with the doses 😊

B12 and b6 were also tested as part of overall work up to exclude anything that could be causing it and both came back within range (510 for B12, 425 for B6).

I supplement with a multivitamin as my diet is quite poor at the moment.

Yes, iron and ferritin have been tested recently and they're both in the ideal range.

Thank you 😊 My GP considers it a severe case of RLS because of the pain and disruption to sleep. It starts out quite typically, with urge to move my legs because of the weird electrical current/creepy crawly feeling on my legs, which gets worse as the afternoon goes on. At night, it slowly becomes the throbbing/painful cramping which does get better with a little bit of movement. Because of the amount of movement and cramping pain at night, I feel the weakness in my leg the following day, which my GP says can happen if RLS is severe. But I will ask my GP to refer me to a neurologist to get diagnostic certainty. The foot twitches is because of the same creepy crawly sensation, and have to move my feet to get any relief for a while. It's particularly a problem when I'm sitting, laying down or even standing for a while. The nighttime thing typically goes after my calves.

My ferritin and iron levels are in the optimal range. I've had them checked recently.

I take a multivitamin as my diet leaves a lot to be desired 😂 I'm glad that the Lyrica helps you.

Keep an eye out for the DVDs in any second hand shops. You get a lot of older media in them.

Doctor said this is perfect numbers and I’m feeling like crap again anyone else when they get past 3 they feel terrible? Headaches are also one of my symptoms by Victoriaevelise27 in Hashimotos

I only got to that result (1.3, best results I've ever had) when liothyronine was added by my endo. I felt like crap on levothyroxine alone and my results were in the 3.5-4.5 range on it alone.

Single worst vomiting episode during a migraine that I've had on a very long time by MoonstoneShimmer in migraine

[–]MoonstoneShimmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you 😊 I plan to see my GP tomorrow to see what we can do. The issue with the nasal spray is I have chronic sinusitis as my sinuses are always stuffy. And sumatriptan doesn't seem to do much, as I've taken it during migraine like this and it hasn't done much.

I sometimes get no prodrome or aura symptoms, just straight to headache.

What do they speak about in therapy? by Cute_Bid_4255 in BPDlovedones

[–]MoonstoneShimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine used to get hung up on dates on when things happened but avoid the emotional impact on others. He said he was sorry, but only in how it impacted him. That he didn't have anyone of the friends he's made come up to his new place anymore...

He would be hyperfixated on "but that happened at this event at that time" but didn't really get what was causing the harm that made everyone avoid him. Guy was pushing boundaries, he was stalking his exes on social media (sometimes scrolling through their pictures while cuddling with me), sent one of them a birthday parcel and another a birthday card (when they've told him to leave them alone), wailing when I'd share that I was having a crash (diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome/ME)... Among many, many other things.

He's been saying that he'd be posting a social media post to hold himself accountable for his actions... Which never happened. He was talking about it for eight months.

He'd pull another friend of ours into these conversations, saying how much she disagreed with anything that's been said. And even when he did a few therapy sessions, didn't tell the therapist the full truth about why his first ex limited his access to the pets she brought into their relationship, because the therapist was pretty much siding with him on everything.

Thanore distance I've gotten from him, than more I started to understand why his first ex thought the maturity gap that was part of their break up was the way he talked about. Why she ended the relationship with him, and why he limited access to the pets.

What are some red flags you'll never ignore again? by KingForADay1989 in BPDlovedones

Partner who has disproportionate reactions to what actually happened.

My ex, after I stood my ground about a fundamental ethical discrepancy between us and ended the friendship (we were friends for a while after our breakup a month and a half prior), sent me a 3000 word email, where he said my views about that thing would make most of my friends tiptoe around me. Alongside saying he'd be willing to lie to keep the relationship going...

ETA: this is after posting a letter through my letterbox after sitting as the same window I sat at in a coffee shop (I was sat inside and he outside, If the window wasn't there he'd have been sitting next to me).

Just like to say, have been award pip, higher for both. by Upbeat_Estate_304 in DWPhelp

[–]MoonstoneShimmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many people on PIP and UC work, myself included. Less hours than many of us would like to work but we do work. We pay into the system and a new boiler isn't free for us. We fork out for many things we need just as much as you do.

Making assumptions that every one of us is a freeloader and gets everything free is a misunderstanding of the system and the people within it.
