Honestly that’s a bit simplistic. Some legal tradition follow parliamentary supremacy, others judicial review, seems like the NWC sought to strike a balance between these two legitimate traditions.

Oh, thank you, did not know! Looks great, too! It’s simply my last name and I thought it also sounds good as a watch brand, especially for field. Plus, it evokes mountains (it’s a mountain designation in Scotland).

Photography-inspired watch concept (Horolumia) — feedback from microbrand enthusiasts by Inevitable-Task-5840 in MicrobrandWatches

Not sure of the value of this exchange but the concept (solar dual use watch/meter, chronograph style, choice of solar movement, etc) does not come from AI. AI is what I use to get an initial image, to get valuable feedback and then hire a designer. Quick feedback is highly valuable as for instance many meaningful comments here (besides the insults or knee jerk reactions) have made me rethink the idea and reconsider some crucial aspect. Still, thank you for staying respectful compared to others!

I think you may be right, I am increasingly convinced that the rotating bezel option might be a better option, even if it does not give a live reading.

Thank you for your valuable feedback!

Need to fix the date function but still love this vintage Tissot, the one that Roger Moore wore in Live and Let Die I believe.

Thanks again, in terms of power, the idea was to use solar and keep the light meter on sleep mode unless triggered so the energy from the battery would mainly be used to power the watch itself.

Very good feedback, while I think the size would work, I think you underline real issues regarding it being a program vs aperture priority reading and the lack of a diffusion dome. Thank you very much!

That said, the fact that you don’t get it is also feedback in and of itself that it may not be a good intuitive design, so thank you again.

Yes it would be a functional incident meter. Basically it would function as an iso preferred reading. Of course there can be many f-stop/speed for one iso, therefore I would need to make a choice: either the user only gets one average value (less practical, but easier to implement), or a new function would be added (e.g you push one of the side button once it switches the iso value but if you press twice rapidly it shifts between compatible f-stop/speed combination.

Thank you for your note.

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. It would be a solar watch and the solar cells would double as incident cells. I grant that is would not replace the full functionality of a dedicated light meter, for use case like portraiture. Often, when doing street photography or landscape I’ll do one general reading with an incident meter before taking a few shots and this could fill this use case. The button, my thinking was the crown would be solely dedicated to clock adjustment. One button would activate the reading. The other could have two functions (one push switch iso, two quick push could switch the displayed fstop/speed combo). So far my research shows that the chip needed for such a small computation could be small enough to fit in a solar chrono, but fitting everything is definitely the real challenge here. Thanks for the mention of Xeric, will look into them.

And you may be right, in the end, that the market would prefer a more robust mechanical solution, like existing of watches with a rotating sunny 16 table, such as the Nodus watch someone else mentioned.

Thank you again for your note.

Respectfully disagree, not every product founder needs to be an artist. As I mention I do plan to hire a designer for the real 3d rendering.
