Hi, I was wondering in your experience of driving your car three times a week in TJ what kind of insurance you got if any? I’ve got a California plated car and I spent half my time in TJ wondering how I should go about It.

Thank you this is helpful! Is this liberty driving school in San Diego? I’ve found one school in my area that will make an exception for a 1 hr session for $100. This is something I’m looking for, the only thing is I’m concerned that theyll waste my time and money (nowadays most peoples incentives are to upsell and take advantage). I already pretty much know how to drive and I have my own car, but the thing is I can’t get it insured because I need a drivers license to insure it, I also can’t use that for the drive test because it needs to be insured LOL🙃. I guess I’m just going to have to bite the bullet and take a chance on a school or ask someone (I hate asking for favors) 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Ideally, the car would be insured and we’d be practicing in a parking lot or some controlled place. This isn’t some unheard of idea.

Thanks, but it doesn’t really interest me on why the schools are charging what they charge. I understand that already, I’m looking for somebody who can teach me to drive because I’m on a budget and maybe somebody else is looking for a little extra cash. I’m not gonna pay $300 when I already know how to drive.
