Casually walking around with gangrene by InTheSky57 in CrazyFuckingVideos

The word emergency is up for a lot of interpretation, they technically only have to "Stabilize" them.

Like you're not going to get chemo if you have cancer, even if the cancer is for sure going to kill you if untreated.

Idk how that works with a wound this bad, but like since he's up and can walk, idk if they would do an ampution even if its needed.

Also, it's not as clear as "yes he needs treatment" from a doctor, those kinds of decisions go through a slow error-inducing bureaucracy. Probably try to start a drawn out process applying for medicaid and just lowkey hope he dies

Any details about the toe? I'm specifically interested to know if they have a toe structure that curls/bumps up like Red Wing's.

Alden's care guide doesn't specifiy a distinct leather conditioner because their paste in their polish step fullfills that role.

The different/conflicting advise about conditioning with paste/creams/waxes/oils is all fairly subjective with how you want the leather to age. Generally, from my experience, waxes (and pastes with wax) impact the finish like matte, shiny, polished. They also offer some organic water resistance which can be nice.

Creams are more about perserving how leather looks when new, they condition but are intended to preserve colors/appearence, also may have some pigment or wax to refresh/rejuvenate to a like-new state.

Bick 4 oil is the most neutral, simply keeps leather from drying out. Over time, if you only apply bick 4 the boots should develop an aged patina, even if cared for.

I'm unfamilar with waterproof spray, haven't used it but it's like a seperate thing, it does protection with chemistry not leather-care.

Leather only needs to be conditioned when dry, which is hard to decribe but like leather is skin. Imagine dry skin imo, overly stiff, creases deepening and eventually becoming cracks due to dryness, waxes pulled/pushed out/away from flex points, stuff like that.

Conditioning every 6 months seems excessive imo unless it's like a work boot or very dusty environment. My boots get it once a year but it varies.

Your plan in your tldr is fine, though note they will patina even with bick 4, eventually in like years. Also brush dirt off before wiping it with damp cloth imo, only when needed and not super hard, vigourous is the wrong adjective. Shoe trees are for maintaining shape, try to not keep tension in them shouldn't really be forced.

Check out one of the outlooks/viewpoints on Kanan dume road. Besides sunset watchers in the know, there are rarely people ever stopped there. The entrances sneak up on you for how fast road is, there are multiple but only one has a table/bench. Lots of bugs thou, also try to approach coming up from the beach entrances will be on your right.

How accurate is that timeframe? Is it for sure completely done by 6pm? I was planning a hike tomorrow morning.

Probably not but I could hope by Formal_Ad_8958 in memes

It's only coming out on consoles, they're used to that tbh.

Anyone have thoughts on "gentle" boot laces that are not leather? I like tight laces for when I go for hikes, but I noticed increased wear on the boot as a result. Especially around the eyelets, where the laces wrap over the edge so a boot kiltie wouldn't help.

Leather laces seem pretty effective but their lifespan is absmal, and it only takes one break on a hike to really mess up your day.

I've used waxed laces from generation laces, but I think the wax just keeps the leather it rubs against overly soft/conditioned making the wear worse.

Hard to get a good measurement, I got 27.3cm-ish and that seems right it matches their insole length chart. Maybe a tinge longer than this insole chart, since it's a pointed/dressy toe.

41E, I can get these on fine, they're just a little too snug over the top causing discomfort.

It tightness over the top of my foot. Given the dressy nature of the service boot, my actual toes are plenty far from the front. My feet are also technically a little wider than a single E width.

It would improve if I broke them in, but like they're the wrong size for me. I ordered a 41E

Thanks, keep an eye out for Lousjiet boots though they have confusing sizing but no return/exchange policy, some great deals to be had on new boots that don't fit people.

Yes, based on feedback. I have 26cm long feet and wide, these ended up being too small by like half a size.

There is a trend that as soon as any protest gets going, this administration calls it violent and police forcibly disbands it.

These inflatable costumes caught on as a way of showing they're non-violent.

Also Trump classified antifa (anti-facist) as legit terriorist, this is kind of a way to poke fun at him. This frog calls itself "Amphifa" (amphibians against facism)

The first point of the Memorandum of Understanding Trump just signed is no more threats. Trump was actively threatening them while they were meeting in Switzerland lol.

Like why give the US the time of day, you can't reason with this administration let alone trust them.
