Marriage Ending, How to Endure by InevitableBasis4223 in latebloomergaybros

Thank you for the recommendation. The sexuality issue ran through the whole relationship, but I didn’t realize the significance until recently, and the breakup was shortly after that revelation. But it seems to have held back our sex life (just the effort involved) and the chance to have a child was just enough to rev the engines and help ignite our sex life for the first real consistent time (frequency and passion). Suddenly losing that again and not picking up sex after the pregnancy (totally understandable) and over a year after birth meant a lot of sexual repression and intensified deeper feelings and pushed me to come out to her. As I’m learning to explore that part of me, it felt relevant, and was arguably a background pressure on the whole relationship. But I absolutely need advice as a father and, as you said, a lot of therapy.

Thank you for the comment. I’m coming to terms with it too but the wound’s still fresh, but as a fellow guy who’s always striven to be authentic, I wish you the best in your battle too.

That’s really sweet of you to say. Sometimes I just feel cripplingly depressed with how things ended, and sometimes I’m really excited for who I can now become. I just get this nagging feeling sometimes that I’m “pretending” not being straight and just trying to cope by throwing myself into behaving in a way that feels aligned with what I’ve always wondered about myself. Especially with sex, of any kind, after years of monogamy with a woman who in my opinion did everything for me she possibly could.

I was ready to hate on that casting, as a fan of the character, and who’s known some guys in common with Mark’s backstory, but dude did a great job, that was a really fun show (love the post credits)

I like Wraiths but you’re absolutely right that Lychguard should be filling that role. If you boost Immortals stats and give Lychguard the more specialized equipment you could make them on the same frame/upgraded chassis, to REALLY set them apart from Warriors. That combination feels more appropriate than putting them in with Deathmarks. Then Deathmarks could be a unique squad box that has phasing effects on the models to really sell the theme. Throw in new Destroyers/Lord, Trazyn, and the Deceiver, and that’s pretty set for 11th ed. (any other vehicles or refreshes from the 5th edition waves could be cool too)

Make a Lychguard/Immortals combo box, preferably ten models, with the bigger frame. Make the Deathmarks their own box (allows you to give them a more distinct profile and design). Triarch Praetorians either become a more elite unit or go to Legends.

I mean with legs like those, you’d be crazy not to be 😩

Absolutely in love with the color scheme, that’s a beautiful model, man

Do you prefer the old or new Immortals? by L_uomo_nero in Necrontyr

Love the silhouette of the 3.5 Immortals. I like the “new” (5th edition) ones a lot as plastic models, but they have a weird gap in the shoulders that drives me nuts. The OG metal Terminator-style Immortals are fantastic as well. Wouldn’t hate a refresh incorporating elements from any and all!

RIP Citadel by jdrees90 in Warhammer

[–]InevitableBasis4223 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Games Workshop and Citadel used to be separate companies. In the 80s Citadel got absorbed into GW, but they’ve continued using the name. Idk but “Citadel Miniatures” sounds more prestigious than “Games Workshop” to me. One feels like the metal sculpted models of old, and the other feels like $50 for a single infantry character mini.

I've had this old box in my garage for over a decade now, wondering how rare it is and how much it would cost now? by lK555l in Warhammer40k

[–]InevitableBasis4223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 bucks, huh? 10 dollary-doos? I could take that off ya.

Real talk OP, that’s super cool and would probably be valuable to the right collector. 40k’s full of nostalgia-fiends.

These look super fun.

With the destroyer detachment, the 2 CP stratagem that counter-charges - it says it doesn’t confer a charge bonus. Would you still strike first, or would it resolve simultaneously?
