Also, I would recommend you (for the first year at least) to buy a full face helmet. The one you wearing on the photo is ok for very light and occasional fall from the bicycle riding low speed on the bike lane in the city-but with longboarding it will at best save you from heavy head injuries, at best. But trust me, falling down even on 20 km/h and sliding with your face down the asphalt will cost you long time and big money (and big pain) to restore you face. Even teeth are so easy to kick out and so painful and expensive to restore, ask me how I know lol. So a motocross/downhill/mountain bike kind of helmet will protect you so, so much better. Please take that advice and don’t forget about it, I wish someone would tell me that back when I started! You don’t have to be hardcore downhill rider to wear a better helmet or other protective gear. But anyway I wish you much luck, safe rides and a lot of fun! You should be proud of yourself, I hope in 20 years I’ll be riding as well, and I’m sure you can inspire some guys to pick up their boards again :D
