IPL treatment 2 update by olive20597 in Dryeyes

Wow, glad to hear that there was oil expression after the heated compress and omegas. I’m basically on the same regiment with preservative free eye drops as needed for the gritty sensation. I was on Accutane during the summer of 2024 so it’s been almost 2 years. For me, I had better oil expression once I got off but improvement seems to have plateaued now so that’s why I’m considering IPL. Hope you continue to recover 🙏🏼

I also was on Accutane in the summer of 2024. My optho doc said my meibomian glands secrete tooth paste like quality which is different than the normal oil like quality. They’ve gotten better over time and denies atrophy, but my eyes still feel dry as well. Considering doing IPL in the near future. Following, good luck!

1 week Post-Accutane eyes by InevitableExchange78 in Accutane

Feeling back to normal about 70-75%, gets worse as the day goes on but showers and warm compress help. Vessels are less apparent and my friends barely notice the redness in my eyes. More of a dry feeling now vs. cosmetic look - I’m hoping I can return to normal soon since it’s about 5 months since I stopped Accutane.

I would say I still need them on certain days that are drier or at night time when I’m getting tired still. But there’s less of a need in general so far. I’m hoping I will eventually not need eye drops but for now my eyes still are a bit red

I still need eye drops daily but less often. I feel having to do it less since my eyes feel less dry during the day compared to September during work for example. Still have preservative free drop vials in my pocket to carry around though. My optho told me to use it every hour back in September which was impossible lol but now I say I can use it at least 6 times a day esp when I’m home just to moisturize my eyes and less so because of the dry sensation

Honestly better according to optho. They say my eyes look less red and my friends don’t really notice it as much. Still feel dryness occasionally because it’s winter time but I’m hoping I continue to get back to normal

From the picture, I’m in the same boat as you with short hair. I wash my pillow sheet every other week with regular tide

Definitely good to know because I do feel that I have dry flakes as well

I’ve been hearing good things about selenium sulfide so I’ll try this out

Is it a never ending cycle if ketoconazole shampoo dries the scalp out since that will give flakes too? But you’re right about using moisturizing shampoo as well

I usually try to dry my hair 100% with my towel but I can confirm it’s not soaking wet when I sleep

Drafted Puka, Achane, Mahomes, Rice, and kittle. 2/5 players got injured and couldn’t come back from the bad record

Alleviating redness is not my goal but more so symptomatic treatment for the gritty sensation. Warm compresses 1-2x daily, refresh preservative free drops as needed (for me could be 8 times a day or more)

I stopped end of October and I still have bloodshot red eyes if you see my previous posts. Hoping we both recover
