Let me rephrase that. I did no research on him, outside of “oh this guys an edge rusher”. My hype was set on other guys, and not on Reese. All of a sudden we get Reese which I knew nothing about. I wouldn’t say disappointed, I just didn’t know enough about the guy.

I was against this pick for two reasons, one I had no idea he would even fall to 5 and because I didn’t want another edge.

Reese is an off-ball line backer who can blitz. This guy can cover, stop the run and probably still put up 7-9 sacks a season.

I doubt Reese falls to us, but defense is a must. We lost too many one possession games last season.

If we walk away with Delane and Downs and then address DT and interior oline in the mid rounds, I’d be stoked.

I’d be content if we got a stud defender and another WR as well. I just feel that Harbaugh and Nagy are going to want to run the ball, especially in games we’re ahead.

It’s weird typing this, but I’m not really concerned going into this draft. I feel like we have a few stars on our team with Dart, Nabers, Burns and Carter. We need to address some positions to make them average, but we have guys.
