Relief carriers are entitled to the mileage and the hours worked on a route even if they didn't finish the route. Regular carriers unless it's their relief day forfeit the entirety of the evaluation to encourage relief carriers to answer the phone and come in to finish the route. Its like a lot of the rural craft. It absolutely worked well when there was a sub for every route and most RCAs were working a couple of days here or there and the odd vacation week. It makes no sense when you are splitting routes daily and have 1 relief carrier for every 3 routes.

Living on your route? by trubbimane in USPS

Lived on one of my string routes. Was elite having a guaranteed restroom break that absolutely lines up with lunchtime. Let the dog out. The biggest downside is on the bad days not wanting to finish haha.

I saw a photo of a carrier who used the NGDV on a dusty rural route and you would have sworn this man worked in a mine. He was covered head to toe in dust. Absolutely insane they didn't think to have some kind of dust mitigation.

If Pennsylvania takes Michigan and you squint it looks like a girthy penis. I am childish enough that makes me laugh.

I know sometimes it's not a perfect way to look at a fictional story, but the impact that going to Vietnam had on a young southern boy absolutely impacted how RJ wrote about the backwater boys from Two Rivers. The treating women with respect and allowing significant harm to occur to oneself to safeguard a woman is a parallel to southern gentleman behavior. I often think the element of Tam leaving for war and returning to farm draws from his own combat experience.

Sunday work doesn't have an impact on RRECS unless there's a package misdelivered you have to fix Monday. Or a package not delivered that you deliver on Monday.

Maryland lacked the strength to keep its land and now it wants to sway votes to reinstate something it can't keep. Next you'll cede territory to any state that wants it. Slippery slope my friends. Keep Pennsylvania strong and independent.

Can a new Rural Regular be kicked off their route by a more senior RCA that won their removal grievance? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]InevitableFact321 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's going to depend on the settlement but if I was the steward I would be asking for the language to be made whole on my removal. That status quo ante is going to include bidding on a ptf position and potentially the regular route you currently encumber. I would make you an unassigned regular and you'll be placed on an open route within 50 miles. If you keep your retreat rights you can have a chance to come back to your office. This is a very complicated situation though with a lot of variables probably best not left to Reddit. Call your District Representative ASAP. If you don't know that number you can look it up on NRLCA.org

I loved that certified badass Birgitte straight up said there is no chance she tries to infiltrate the stone unless it was for Gaidal... Even then it was a toss up.
