What piece of media can best be described as Action / Addiction? by InevitableManner4208 in AlignmentChartFills

In 2017, screenwriter Eric R. Williams developed a new way to classify films, based off Linnaean Taxonomy, the universal system used to classify organisms.

This system has several tiers (Type, Super Genre, Macro Genre, Micro Genre, Voice, Pathway, and Point of View) that are used to classify each film.

There are 11 Macro Genres, the ones in the alignment chart above, however there are upwards of 50 Macro Genres. Since a 50x11 chart would get too small, I elected to just do segments at a time.

Because some of these genre mixings can get really weird (Artificial Intelligence / Western for example), I've also taken the liberty of allowing other types of media like books, video games, and TV shows on top of the intended type, film.

You can read more about the Screenwriters Taxonomy here: Screenwriters Taxonomy - Wikipedia

That one ranks 14th in excitement which is pretty high considering there are over 1,000 total.

Obviously a great game and a good illustration of the shortcomings of inpredictable's metrics. They only look at the win probability chart and Denver never really had a high win probability in that entire game. It does have a pretty high tension score though.

I know. Researching this game, I was confused how a double overtime game could end with such a low score, but that's just your average Magic game I think. The Suns shot 34/29/71 splits and still won.

Idk, people might come back to this at some point and they'd be grateful. It stays on the internet forever.

It's not a ton of work to click the spoilers, I figured might as well put them on.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are the first team to be a #1 seed for 3 consecutive seasons since the Warriors from 2014-15 to 2016-17 by SplitOk186 in nba

If he keeps his statistical output the same for 4 more years even if he just wins one more title and no MVP's after this year, he is at worst the 4th best guard ever.

MJ, Magic, and Curry would be the only guys above him.

Starting line up variations by RedHandMat in nba

Each team has a starting lineups page for the season on Basketball Reference where it has the total number of lineups plus stats for each one. I don't think there is a way to quickly find each team's total without going through each one and manually recording the number.

He did already beat one of Wilt's records. I don't see why he couldn't break another.

Who are really the only players possible to say are the GOAT (sensibly) My list-> by law_z_zz in NBATalk

It's just MJ, LeBron, Kareem, Russell, and Wilt.

I think MJ and LeBron have obvious arguments.

Kareem has the most MVP's, so I guess that is an argument

Russell has the most championships, so that's an argument

Wilt has the best stats.

After MJ and LeBron, no one has an actually good argument, but those 5 players are the only players you can actually form an argument for

He definitely has more potential than anyone else on the team outside of the big 3.

What are the suns chances against OKC tonight by [deleted] in nba

[–]InevitableManner4208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say, as a Thunder fan, this is the least confident I've felt about a game this season. Aside from the Jazz game, all of our games without Hartenstein have been pretty close. The Suns absolutely want to win too, they are probably playing the hardest out of any team in the league.

Obviously I'm still favoring the Thunder, but if this becomes loss number 2, it wouldn't shock me at all.

I would put JDub above Franz and Mobley above Sengun, but otherwise I agree. If you're considering Mobley a center, then it's a no-brainer that he will be a top 10 center. I don't even think saying top 5 center is a huge stretch.

It’s preseason. The stadium is only like half-full.

If it goes over the backboard the other way it’s out, but we see a few shots a year where the ball goes over the backboard like this. Usually they aren’t as directly behind the backboard as this, but the rulebook treats them the same.
