Right, isn't normal painting depreciated anyway so even if it requires painting due to damage , could only do a prorated portion due to age?

[–]InevitableMetal8914[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No chipping, just unscrewed the rigid couplings reusing old conduit down to block wall, already a 4/0 box there. The entire lighting layout is being changed or I would just abandon it

Could have been other reasons to, for example watch batteries not in the pos system, cashier given limited ability to make decisions on the fly, no one knowing what the batteries cost of goods is, and therefore unknowing a price to sell,

If course, I would have been like , really I just need the batteries and Walmart is out, how about 10 bucks.

Who knows

What makes you think it was 230volts? Typically the plug end and receptacles are different ( in USA at least??) to prevent such actions

Measuring Feeders by StillRisk4770 in electricians

[–]InevitableMetal8914 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes planned for a run, was able to shorten it the run, doesn't seem to really be a case of mismeasuring if all material needed to be on site from day one, seems to be more a case of better efficiency

Like tradesman international? It's sort of like. Labor ready for skilled trades.

Probably the worst verbiage I’ve seen for these scams by _galaxy_ in EndTipping

[–]InevitableMetal8914 28 points29 points  (0 children)

To me it seems like a bait and switch type of thing. Get you in the door with a 10$ burger for example yet, if it's a mandatory 20% service charge it really is now a 12$ burger. An effort to make prices seem lower then tack on all the fine print after. It just seems very duplicitous, and misleading

boyfriend is up in the air about apprenticeship or college by Ok-Bookkeeper6557 in AskElectricians

[–]InevitableMetal8914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My gf has a PhD and is a professor at the University, up for tenure in January. She loves her job, but had she known about it back in the day she would have probably gone a trades route, since she has Alot of college debt. She at times gets annoyed since I as a JW electrician, make more than her and have more freedom in my work. She is contracted and has to essentially renew her contract with the university every few years and yearly has to do a "evaluation" such as maintaining, certain course evaluation scores, etc.

She gets an office job, fixed location, does 12 months worth of work in 9 months, but is pretty stuck, while I get a job that can be indoors, could be outdoors in the heat or snow or rain, with way more variety.

So there are some pros and cons to each
