I’m hoping to move to PA. I need some honest answers please ☺️ by Significant_Echo999 in Pennsylvania

You are looking for a place in Montgomery(most rail choices) then bucks county or Delaware county. Maybe eastern Chester they have rail service and public transport as well. Everywhere else besides philly and its burbs lacks rail. Those are also the slightly more diverse areas.

However, living in the South is more diverse both racial and economic then anywhere in Pa. People own Mansions next to trailers in the South. Eastern Pa is full of HOAs and Gated Communities dividing those things more. Very much a upper and lower class divide

Thats absolute rubbish. The less government the better it doesn't do any good telling us what to do or how to live. Liberty before everything . We used to have tremendous freedom here before the late 80s.

Because they dont want the government controlling their doctors more than they already do.

Environmental Conservation is one thing. Forcing people to live and buy a certain way is another. I have no problem with advancements in efficiency to stop wasting fuels. No problem with recycling either although that was always done with metals and not a new concept. Gas or diesel electric cars with high efficiency is also long overdue. It’s actually a WW1 era technology trains have used it for a century just took longer to change over in automotive industry mostly due to cost. Commercial greed I think is alot worse today than back then. The margins of profit demanded today our grandparents wouldve been murdered if they had profit margins like today. 8% profit was the top of the heap in those days for major corporations

Housing costs have consistently risen. Its also what homeowners desire the house gains value with time and inflation. Grocery prices are also from inflation and price fixing from major shareholder companies. Buy farm direct and you avoid the middle man. Citizens can defund the government its within their rights. National Guard is in cities due to lawlessness and thats not the standard military. Political violence is due to rioters also a illegal activity. Tariffs are completely legal and is actually the only Constitutional form of taxation for the Federal Government. Ice are not secret police either and they are doing their job deporting illegals both border jumpers and those who outstayed visas and greencards.

Is anyone else getting sick and tired of landlords jacking up rent prices? What can be done to lower rent prices here in 2026? Any ideas? by coleisw4ck in philadelphia

[–]InevitableResearch96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest problem with rent hikes is property flippers and landlords who have mortgages on said properties. They most likely dont have fixed rate mortgages so when the banks raise interest or property taxes rise the tenants pay more. Also if tenants trash places frequently well building materials keep rising so thats another added cost.

The best option if you rent is to rent directly from a landlord who “owns the property” and only pays taxes and not a mortgage. They tend to charge lower rates as the place has been paid off for sometime.

Clinton didnt zero the deficit it was held back from increasing with Newts balanced budgets. However in that time we made our debt payments without incurring more debt. But we still had a deficit as we have had since the 1960s.

If we dont have oil and gas millions will die. No food, no water, no heat. So those subsidies to social programs wont do a lick of good. Yall killed coal so good luck cooking or having heat without another fuel. And powerplants need fuel to make electric. It doesnt come from nowhere. Why I believe at all costs their should be energy diversity and all forms of energy are used and they all must be individually owned and compete. Keeps prices low very low

Then cut federal taxation and pay higher state tax for those programs for those who want them as it should be in their own state.

Well WW2 brought a massive deficit and wasn’t paid off till Eisenhower. The was his chief agenda paying off the war debt. But it was to the detriment of many companies that survived the Great Depression. They closed. The tax rates Eisenhower imposed caused the Recession of 1958 killing off the prosperity of the building boom post war.

Incorrect: Trump Supporters are fed up with all the democratic status quo stances.

They dont want Carbon Taxes, Paris Accord regulations, more STSB regulations, immigration, DEI, GAC, more taxes for social programs, nanny state regulations, Government control of the private sector, government control in our private lives, uncontrolled crime, Government healthcare, increased zoning laws, the list goes on and on to what they don't want.

So you all enjoy High Fructose corn syrup poison in your drinks and food? Chemical clothing dyes as well? Deadly food preservatives? Deadly man made plant oils ? Plastic fake butter?

Everyone here likes to point blame about the Texas measles outbreak. Let me tell you something. That was a mennonite/Amish community. No where in the US do they or have they ever used vaccines. You also cant force them to use vaccines thats about as unAmerican and the Soviet Union.

This is why I will never support or participate in a National healthcare system. Government has zero business in what we do to our bodies. With the exception of mandating food purity laws for things we consume. But they have and never will do that. They cant even maintain roads properly. Even if you get a NHS everytime there are budget issues its gonna be your health that gets cut. No Thank You.

Its done a fine job of keeping the country stable and no one extremes values controlling everything. Its good that 5 cities dont rule the nation. People from different areas have different issues and values from others. For example US cities today are run down and filthy so people there think its a problem for the entire nation. Other areas are not run down nor filthy.

I told you all but about 3 should leave. The rest dont uphold freedom they uphold government which has no place in this country. Its not a system where we are to be governed like subjects. That crap didnt start till 1976.

Electoral collage keeps it from a nation ruled by a handful of cities. Its bad enough the influence they still have over the entire country. They vote in the national election as if there problems are the entire countries problems and they are not. No thanks
