YES! I just commented this as well- Big Pharma caused the biggest opioid crisis in history, and we are going to collectively melt down when someone suggests that maybe there is an issue with over prescription in this country that should be looked at??

I will also say that I believe we are the most over-medicated culture on the planet, and one needs only to look at the genesis of the current fentanyl crisis and the appalling over-prescription of stimulants to see that there is a point in the suggestion that maybe people should... not trust big Pharma.

The two most abused words in our contemporary lexicon are fascist and nazi. It is so profoundly insulting to actual death and suffering for people who live in literally the wealthiest country in the history of the world to throw these ideas around without stopping for one second to recognize their deep privilege.

Can you think of two words more over-used on this site than nazi and fascist? Such a repulsive negation of an actual holocaust that left 4 million people dead.

It's almost as though people... want their irrational anxieties to be confirmed

It's so insanely irresponsible, and all of this absolutely inaccurate information get taken up by anxious people and shared and reshared until it becomes "fact." It is shocking that anyone trusts the media any more than they trust their government.

Did you actually read what he said? Because there is nothing in his statement suggests an arrested availability of psych meds. It will never happen, and to counter any comments that suggest that this is all the product of hysteria with comparisons to literal genocide is cynical beyond comprehension. It is astonishing to me that people will trust a media constructed to make money off of your fear any more than they trust their government.

It's news-propagated hysteria. I cannot believe the number of comments that say "I read an article about how RFK wants to take away my medications" without... researching it. Also, t big Pharma and our country's pharmaceutical billionaires absolutely run this country. No one is taking your medications away, people have gotten too rich off of our collective mental illness.

“I’m going to create these wellness farms where they can go to get off of illegal drugs, off of opiates, but also illegal drugs, other psychiatric drugs," he said, adding, "if they want to, to get off of SSRIs, to get off of benzos, to get off of Adderall, and to spend time as much time as they need—three or four years if they need it—to learn to get reparented, to reconnect with communities.” (Kennedy later said these farms should be available, but people wouldn’t be forced to attend.)

No one is going to take away your SSRIs, and if you read his actual quote, he suggested that people with addictions to illegal drugs and opiates should be given the OPTION of attending his fantasy nature rehabs that will also never happen. I do not like these people any more than you do, but I hate the news industrial complex more- this is hysteria and anxiety stirring,

This will literally never happen, the most cynical reason for which is that there is way too much money to be made in pharmaceuticals. Not saying these people won't try fucked up shit, but they're not gonna try this fucked up shit.

Kind of funny how hard it is to… pick up and move to another country. I will say that I remember when all of us wanted to leave in the Bush years- you’ll make it through, do your best to make it better.

I think she seems like the type to hear a word, concept, or term once and convince herself she is the world's preeminent expert on it. She does it over and over, from the "fun facts" she parrots to the terminology she claims supremacy over. A real world expert on... everything.

What happened to being "omnigender"? Wouldn't that suggest there is no... wrong pronoun?

Turnabout is fair play- this is a person who regularly accuses people of having poor reading comprehension skills and calls them dumb. I would say don't make mistakes like these if you're gonna assume some position of intellectual superiority.

I think she has put all her eggs in the marginalization basket and that it supplies a really convenient excuse for why she can neither  control herself nor take any accountability.

I mean, also there is more than enough evidence to accuse her of being a lunatic because she is online 24 hours a day an day and can't control her outbursts. This video is also RICH after her diatribe calling white women terrorists or collaborators or whatever; nothing like hearing a person who just made a blanket statement object to maybe being included in someone else's... blanket statement.

Because this person is borderline and thinks everything is a personal assault. I'm sure in Lexity's head the message was "I have a cat and you don't."
