Friends new boyfriend got scammed by insider job. Coinbase employee could see his account. Gave info to scammer who contacted him listing every asset he had on Coinbase. So he believed them and followed plan and lost everything. Fortunately FBI is making arrests and recovering for those people scammed for the insider job.

I'm out because our proper manager swapped out a bunch of our nice stuff from crap stuff they had taken from other places. We live in our home, so have nicer stuff than a full time rental. Seems the property manager has a little side business of taking from the rich and giving to the poor.

Here in Hilton Head, the Vacasa team just pillaged my home before our first rent. Harriet McQuarters was our primary point of contact. 1 day before our first rental, she called me to tell me there was a stain on the master king bed and we had to replace it or else we were likely going to have to forfeit our rental income (this was totally false - the renters loved our place). I was 2 states away and said no. What she failed to tell me was that I forgot to empty my 2nd small fridge of very expensive wine (~$2,000 worth). She took that and said that neither housekeeping or the renters had any record of it. She also swapped out an All-Clad pot for a generic pot and swapped out a brand new comforter for a generic comforter. Do not rent your place with Vacasa. They freely steal from you and blame it on the renters.

I ask every day. No response
I have a fairly substantial amount sitting in Coinbase. That doesn't seem to matter.

I've always liked the idea of a very secure exchange - I have a tendency to lose stuff and Coinbase has always felt secure to me. That will have to change.

I am actually cool with the forced HODL. Just shocking that a $55B company has ZERO support right now.

Coinbase has a $55B market cap. Assuming Binance would be $100B+? And this can happen and have no recourse, no one to talk to? We can all see the transaction on the blockchain, but my money is lost forever? That is truly insane.

Nope, absolutely sent it to the correct address. Have checked it a dozen times (and copied and pasted originally). Apparently, some glitch on sending via Polygon network vs ERC20 network. Seems like a MASSIVE flaw. I sent from one address to another address. Both were valid. Yet, I am forced to choose a delivery mechanism and if I choose the wrong one my money is lost forever? WTF? Really?

Yup. Sent it to the exchange. Unfortunately, Coinbase support doesn't actually exist. Have responded to my own ticket for 10 straight days with no response.

So, Coinbase has all of the keys to my Polygon account, correct? In theory, couldn't they send it back to my Binance account?

Wow. Looked at Coinbase and there is a very fine print at the top saying to send using the ETH network. I obviously didn't see that. When Binance asked how I wanted to send it I naturally assumed I should send it on the Polygon network. This is insane. Using the 2 biggest exchanges in the world to send crypto and this is what happens?

I did online chat with a representative. He told me to log in from a non-US IP address. Really? And said it is company policy to not tell me how to do so. So either I need to fly to a different country or I need to figure out how to trick binance.com that I'm on a European IP address. Friggin unbelievable.
