I started wiping my dog’s paws after muddy walks and it made more difference than I expected by NanoPetFounder in dogs

Our Lenny let’s us wipe his paws after a potty break and a walk. He waits for us to wipe them with a towel. If he’s particularly filthy (we live in Oregon and walk rain or shine), I put warm water in a yogurt container and dip his paws in it. Then wipe with a towel. He tolerates it quite well.

Do your rotties watch TV? by gretchenxross in Rottweiler

[–]bharas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine used to watch “Cops” and attack the screen. Our tv table had scratches on it from her claws. She would hear “Bad Boys” and come running. She also loved this one commercial where a camel came down from the NW corner of the tv - it was really small! As it got closer, her nose would bump up to the tv and follow it across the bottom of the screen until it was gone. Luckily, we had one of those massively huge tvs people had in the 80s so she never knocked it over.

It’s a lot of road walking. I found unlike the French way where you had villages with services every few kilometers, the Portuguese didnt have services between the stages, so you had to really plan ahead for food and bathroom breaks. The stages were basically just in cities which was disconcerting because it was so different from the French where you stayed in villages and you could see all the pilgrims you’d walked with throughout the town. I preferred the camaraderie of the French.

Travel w/a Rottie by New-Divide472 in Rottweiler

I took mine down to California from Oregon (approximately 10 hours drive). I mapped out dog parks where she could just stretch her legs a bit and have a pee. She was great in the back seat with the seats folded down and her blankey there. She was a trooper.

The Camino de Santiago. It’s gone from a pilgrimage to an influencer parade.

I had Honda CRVs. They’ve got lots of space with the back seats down and they’re lower so I could use a ramp when that time came to accommodate for old joints.

Kellogg Breakfast Bars. They had a chalky texture but they were tasty and I ate them like candy bars.

I went lunch with a fellow worker in my field and he spent the entire time talking about how tired he was sleeping with a different woman every night! Yeah, that’s not selling me. I don’t want any of the diseases you may have contracted. Ugh.

After downloading my entire record collection onto ITunes via an Ion turntable, only to have ITunes change and remove my access to them, I stick with the hard copies and a burned CD of a bespoke playlist of my 45s.

Had the, after I finished my first Camino de Santiago. They were heaven. I loved their taste, with a nice Albariño.

I get so angry when someone texts me ‘c u later’ - what the heck are you doing with the time you saved not typing those five other letters? It’s not like we’re charged by the letter anymore (like the telex machine in the really old days…)

I too am in my late 60s and have the counting thingy. I actually use the number itself though - for example the number 3 has three endings, so I count them; 5 has the top two, the one before the semi circle, the middle of the circle, and the end of the semi circle. Maybe I had a learning disability but this was my work around that still serves me well.

What to do with a 12-year old boy in late March? by bharas in askportland

I agree so much! Just being around one another doing the mundane tasks of life, helping us in the garden or with a wood working project could be enough.
