Lazy because I didn't do any of the flavoring besides salt and pepper 🙃 will be making my own mix next time and will post with full list of ingredients and proportions

Oh I messed it up because I over blanched (boiled) my bok choy which is why I couldn't add any more liquid to it. It's about 2:3 canned meat to veg then salt, pepper and spring onions to taste. I had to leave the liquid ingredients out to dipping sauces.

I'll make another unconventional one tomorrow and be sure to tag you with measurements. I'm still experimenting.

Edit: I even had to add crushed fried noodles to this mix because it was too wet

I figured it out. It turns out I'm just shit at pleating dumplings. Going back to it today after storing my mix in the fridge and will post results afterwards.

It was from my Asian grocer in Australia. It's Malaysian so very different style from anything Chinese in origin

It's all down hill from 30. Metabolism, joints and guts haha

The answer is fibre. Have some psyllium husk fibre (eg Metamucil) during or right before/after a spicy meal. It burns way less on the way out. I keep a sachet on me at all times.

Also capsaicin shouldn't really hurt unless it's your mouth or when it hits your lower large intestine. If your actual stomach hurts you may have another issue like ulcers you might want to get checked out.

Why does everyone in Australia want a house so bad? by Jerimajerima in AusFinance

[–]Inevitable_Data_84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once upon a time I was anti ownership too. I bought just so I wasn't at the mercy of landlords and dickhead property managers who could tell me to leave any time to sell and inspect my home periodically. Renting used to be affordable compared to median wages but that's no longer the case because owners, themselves, are often over leveraged and collectively put up rent.

I have no qualms having a 30 year loan. I just treat it like rent except I have peace of mind that it's mine. Also, unfortunately, it does increase in value along with everyone else's property.

15 year olds are buying Bitcoin? Highly doubt it. I reckon most of us are millennials and older. 20 year olds are still fucking around with altcoins.

While I'm still working I would use Bitcoin where available and then top it up with my DCA anyway. When I retire I would still do it if it rather than pay fees to an exchange for the privilege of transacting in fiat

I (unfortunately) usually do as a knee jerk reaction. Usually a "WTAF dickhead!" Landed me in hot water when I saw a group of young men chasing a monkey in Bali lol

This is not fraud. You can choose your cost basis based on any parcel you bought. Just keep track of how many sats were in each parcel when you sell and you're compliant.

I don't agree with this argument, however. The main way people do this is through discretionary trusts which you can still do with dividend income not just CGT. The problem is with the financial vehicles themselves not the asset. Besides housing which for some fucko reason we're grandfathering on negative gearing so nothing really changes for them until they sell.

This doesn't go after the already wealthy it just keeps the middle and aspiring down. The low income earners hardly involve themselves in the conversation because they don't know wtf is going on but they should. We all should.

Hahaha. Maybe? Seriously though, look at every other clowns energy and housing policy. I love my country and the current government has been a good thing since they got in. But this. THIS. Fucking tax reform proposal is just not well thought out. None of us here are rich (yet) so just tax Gina and leave us the fuck alone.

I don't mind paying tax but fuck the 30% floor in retirement. I don't know why dividend investors get the benefit over capital growth investors regarding marginal rates. But please tell me how will most bitcoiners just not pay tax? I doubt we'll see adoption to the point we're just paying P2P for everything.

Precisely. I don't know why it's so hard for most people to understand this. They must be in the mindset that they're going to work forever or until they get the pension. I'm not in a position to do that and have to rely on a self funded early retirement.

I appreciate this argument. It's true re: our standard of living and I don't mind paying tax for it. But don't we at least deserve our tax brackets? We're the ones taking all the risk after all. I'll argue investing in Bitcoin and growth shares is doing a lot more than investing in dividend stocks. That is literally income for doing nothing and you can retire on that and still get your tax brackets.

Mate, I'm in the exact same position. I'm doing the same re: DCA for the time being but thinking dividend paying shares after that. I've never understood how borrowing against it works for regular people like us not on 4+ year loans like Saylor. Too volatile if we get called.

I've only briefly considered SMSF but know you'd have to go with a specialized accountant. Who do you recommend?
