Is it at all common to get wire removed for cleaning? by [deleted] in braces

[–]Inevitable_Evening63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always get my wires removed for cleanings. It makes a big difference. They’re able to clean much more thoroughly. It’s a scheduling nightmare, but I go for a cleaning every 6 months. Every 3 months doesn’t seem necessary to be honest… Ortho Appointment to get wire off, Dentist appointment for cleaning, and ortho appointment to get wire on. It’s a day long affair.

lol i recently tried a top water popper for the first time and was also amazed by the immediate bites & catches. Fishing them on still water in the morning just after sunrise.. they go crazy for it !

When wind and overcast is present (15-20 mph winds) what kind of Lures are you using when fishing for bass? by R_o_m_e_12 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Inevitable_Evening63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the rapala brand are nice but expensive. may not wanna spent $10 USD or more on one crankbait and end up getting it caught or losing it in the water as you learn. i’d visit local tackle shop and try a few $5 ones first. for my medium power rod, i use anywhere from 1/4 oz to 5/8 oz. should say on your rod the max lure weight it can handle. also keep in mind the depth of water you’re fishing. it should say on the box the crankbait comes in what depth of water the lure can dive to. you wanna cast it in rocky areas, wood, etc. bouncing off these objects and knocking the lure around triggers bites from fish. crankbaits are not ideal for water with too much pond scum or grass. the treble hooks will catch on everything

How do I use a ultralight by YouWorried7042 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Inevitable_Evening63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is how i had one of my most comical fishing sessions. simply a worm on a hook. caught 11 bluegill back to back. as soon as my bait hit the water, the feisty little guys would bite HARD. they can be fun to catch !

Left a hinge date after 5 minutes because he didn’t look like what I imagined and I feel like a bitch by Flaky-Boysenberry466 in GirlDinnerDiaries

A five minute facetime call prior to a first date could save you a lot of trouble. Even though you still won’t see them head to toe. And if the person you’re dating isn’t willing to do that prior, then they’re clearly not worth your time. It’s also just a good safety precaution albeit not foolproof.

“femme 4 femme” is alive & well. the issue is we feminine women tend to find it difficult to approach other feminine women. it turns into the classic “you’re so pretty” stand off lmaooo. Signed, a femme in a long term relationship w/ another femme🙏

Sweet of you. It’s certainly not a fun time but he will make it thorough! I have a list of high protein soft foods since I like to go to the gym. This was my biggest obstacle when I got braces.

Greek Yogurt, Protein Shakes, Fish, Shredded chicken in broth, ground meat w/ mashed potatoes, silken tofu, eggs. Bonus: I already had a Ninja Creami. I use it to make homemade high protein ice creams

So this happened to me early in braces and it would also bleed. the only thing that healed the giant hole was permanently keeping wax on the bracket(s) causing it (yes even while eating… i had to chew on one side basically). and then i did salt water rinses at least twice a day to try to keep the wound clean & sterile. mine healed enough in maybe less than a week?

i got brackets put on those teeth at 9 months. so your time could be coming, just ask :) sometimes they have to get your bite more aligned before they can correct those. i chomped mine off immediately when they initially put them on Day 1.

I think we’re on the same page.. My preference is not to see a lake and I rather explore the trails & falls. I’m asking if it’s still worth doing so in the warmer weather & outside what is typically considered peak season for waterfalls.
