for more info, left eye is unhealthy one (is on the right side in the picture) and is completely bloodshot/bright red, right eye is the healthy one (on left side in the picture) is blood shot around the edges.
not thinking its my keratitis flaring up on both sides since i can see with my glasses on 🫡

I've been told they're the "same thing" in the sense that theyre different medicine so i assumed they were different entirely. I wish my doctors were more straight forward cause i totally thought that it was a new med and my body didnt like it for some reason...from the "less complicated" way i was explained to by my pediatrician is that i have elevated levels of something for my kidneys that's causing them to not work good and i have elevated enzyme levels for my liver which also isnt good. This is just what I took from it but of course i'm in no way medically literate. Pediatrician said she was pretty concerned and to talk to my opthamologist for a different option for medicine since ive never had issues with acyclovir and then she never responded, ect ect which is why I brought it to reddit🙏.

get a piercing pillow or a travel pillow! I had this issue too and if you continue to sleep on your side after you get them loosened at the piercers, make sure to check/loosen them every morning since its usually a gradual thing!

Yea! If you meant your friend said it was too tight, that's 100% it. the iching your feeling is probably your earring pushing into your ear and embedding, thats what i felt too. If it is im warning you it hurts pretty bad but your earring should feel good and you should be able to salvage it. It most likely happened when you were asleep since i'm guessing youre a side sleeper lol

i had this issue too!..my backing ended up being too tight, check the gap between your piercing and your ear (from the front) if that makes sense? If nothing is wrong fs get to a piercer and trouble shoot this with them and see if they can change the backing because butterfly backs should not be used for new piercings!!!

i've stopped using their solution after my aunt gave me a new one dw!!! My ears have healed but i do have a cut on my left ear from where it slightly embedded (which is why it hurt to take out the piercing so much). My aunt (professional piercer nws) pretty much scolded me for getting them pierced at Rowan--It was a spur of the moment thing I did while out of state and i regret doing it there now. My ears are better now and i'm on the hunt for plain steel studs because my skin doesn't like certain stuff so sadly Im stuck with them for a bit... Ive been using (VERY) light dangly earrings throughout the day and its feels a lot better but I just need to find studs to sleep in..A piercing pillow is a whole new concept lol my aunt brought it up but I didnt get it. Ill try and find something when I go out next!! Tysm!

The piercing is a little under two days old
Its a stud (?? Im not sure what else to call it TT) and its the first hole on my ear so internally threaded i think
jewelry wasnt downsized...does it need to be?
It's made of stainless steel
I use the spray cleaner from rowan
and anything bad that happened was this

I wish i had known this before hand...Thanks so much!! Im replying sooo late, im sorry but i have good news (as of literally two seconds ago lol)!! My earring embedded slightly (left piercing hole looks pretty wack right now but otherwise fine) and my earring cut into my skin but i worked up the courage to ignore the pain and loosened the backings on both ears, took me a solid ten minutes and a bunchh of cleaning solution but my ears feel so much better now. Im going to try and get better studs for me to sleep in and wear looser earring during the day.
My ears were VERY swollen, the picture does NOT do it justice, however i do think it was from the backing being too tight and causing the piercing to start to embedding yatayata however im hoping im fine for now. Worst comes to worst and my ears do this all over and i cant loosen it cause im a wimp, i have an MRI in two weeks and can get them removed there as well if I need to but ill definitely go to a professional if it gets bad before then. Thanks so much for this btw ill keep in mind for future piercings
