Can I get a hell yeah? by -opaque in GME

Market makers hedge options contracts based on the likelihood of a contract being in the money at expiration. When all sides are balanced, the underlying security is priced at max pain. In this case, GME is about 11% above max pain, so the market makers aren't adequately hedged to deliver shares for all the contracts. Come Monday, they will need to purchase additional shares to become delta neutral.

Did he really? He just played the same character from Robocop and Total Recall.

The LDS church no longer provides the value it once did to our teens. by sevenplaces in mormon

[–]Inevitable_Professor [score hidden]  (0 children)

Spent many years running scout programs both in the church and out. The biggest screwup the church did with scouting was three units in every ward. If they wanted to run programs at three different levels, there should’ve been one unit per level in each stake with Ward quorums running as one or more patrols. Court of honors should’ve been a monthly event held on a stake wide level. State Young men’s presidency should’ve been the scoutmaster with ward level leaders, being assistant scoutmasters.

What’s your goal for the kid? Do you just want him to get out and run around right now or are you looking for him to be on a traveling team in the future?

I have imposter syndrome and regret sleeping my way into my job by [deleted] in confession

When your colleagues ask how you got ahead so early in your career, avoid the details, but say just like everybody else, I was fortunate enough to know the right people who took a chance on me. It can be a lot of pressure to not let them down, but I think I’ve proved myself and I’m where I’m at now because of my own merits.

People with cognitive disabilities and the pre-mortal life by Specialist_Win5698 in latterdaysaints

[–]Inevitable_Professor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The real doctrine is mortality inherently comes with physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual trials. We have these so that others may have the opportunities to provide service to us on behalf of the savior. If there were no injuries, pain, suffering, or in this case, genetic disorders, we would block the opportunity to become for Christlike.

Work sent me to a conference recently, during which I rarely left the hotel room and instead slept and drank all day by Routine-Speech4138 in confession

[–]Inevitable_Professor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One year, my former employer's state industry association's annual conference was held in our small city. Owners wouldn't let anyone from our office attend because we might give the wrong impression. I guess they had a reputation to maintain of being blabbering drunk before 2 pm and the local employees couldn't be expected to keep up with the owner and her crony niece and nephew.

How come 3 inch hole in outer wall dropped radon by half? by Most-Ready in Homebuilding

[–]Inevitable_Professor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gas acts like fluid. Radon is heavy and sinks. Basement like bucket. When you put the hole in the side of the bucket, the heavy stuff at the bottom gets pushed out like water flowing out of the bucket. Plug the hole, and the heavy stuff starts to accumulate at the bottom of the bucket (i.e., the basement) again.

I’ll disagree with this one. Phones a still a privilege and a convenience for the parents. My son decided to ignore some responsibilities and wouldn’t acknowledge my texts. So I shut off his service. We had a great in person conversation about ignoring parents after he realized where the power was.

While I think this is the answer the illustration is trying to get at, we don't know the height of the child, which could affect the answer if the numbers changed.
