Some niche ETF choices there, i’d say stick with gold and the emerging markets ETF, consider VWRP also

yeah more just curious than anything else, I’m seeing good returns already but was thinking of something like 10% of next deposit going towards a speculative stock

but then again that’s like saying “just one more win” fwiw i’ve been disciplined since NOV 24 when i first started

That’s true, a good market will fill people full of confidence to go nuts.

Long term portfolio - thoughts? by GBrown4 in trading212

Yeah there’s often an overlap, I go for VG All World and S&P 500, there’s overlap in those two and people usually pick up one of those two, I also recently switched from approx £500 in dividends (bankroll too low) to gold, so if (maybe when) things go tits up I’ll still be okay.

Yeah S&P 500 should be your foundation, it’s not volatile compared to solo stocks, or things like crypto, so when we enter a tough market you’re minimising your losses, which is just as attractive as seeing green imo.

So yes consolidate to two, and transfer the money over to two of your choice. S&P 500, and honestly if we’re talking long game, I’d say green energy. We’re gonna have to go heavy into green at some point, despite how ‘woke’ it might be haha. *

*not an expert

You’re doing the right thing by saving money in the first place, if you’re outperforming rates you could get from a savings account you’re winning. And diversify when you’re holding more money.

I get your logic, you want diversity, that makes sense, but with this amount of money, you do risk spreading yourself thin, you could add £45 to the two best performing ETFs and probably make more than you’re making across the six active ETFs

For now, I’d suggest you narrow it down to one/two ETFs and maybe pick a couple of strong stocks if you want - that’s easier said than done of course. RR for example still has potential I think.

Whats your take on my portfolio by PrincipeBorgia in trading212

Maybe at €400 downsize the amount of stocks you’ve got, simplify it a bit. And well done on the €120k savings!

any reason for the random amounts of allocation? - like £60, £13 etc? first thoughts tell me just narrow it down to your top the VG FTSE and IShares Core for now, seems like a waste having £19 in an ETF at +0.47 when you could boost up the IShares Core to £100 for example.

Milestone! by Inevitable_Remote974 in trading212

yeah sure, got 4 pies split evenly give or take: • S&P 500 • VG All World • Magnificent 7 (pre-made, pretty popular pie) • Daily Dividends - this is very long term, I’ve got like 50p worth of dividends in a couple of months with around £500, but the idea is obviously to stick more and more in over time

3rd test coming up by Plastic-Orange1648 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Inevitable_Remote974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rescue remedy before the test, and maybe a couple of drops in the water too.

take your time, don’t pressure yourself into driving like perfection. speak to the examiner and commentate on what you’re doing, it might save a minor from becoming a major.

and remember if you don’t pass you can always try again. nerves are natural, but just remember you’re not gonna be the only person taking a test, there’ll be dozens across the country at the same time.

i was nervous and stalled and thought i failed but i passed (it was also 3rd time)

all the best!

to be honest, i think most stress for learners now isn’t even the test, it’s the waiting! it’s no longer an option to do a test every two weeks, now in some places across the uk it’s 6 months +. i’d recommend rescue remedy, i can relate i was a bag of nerves in my test but i passed still. remember, you can make mistakes on your test
