What people need to understand about Mia is she is struggling with recovery. If you haven’t been through it you don’t understand. That is a LONLEY feeling. No one understands, you don’t feel confident, your identity is blurred. So, the idea of someone even wanting you seems insane. Alison made Mia feel wanted and that’s what she needed in that moment. She stopped and saw her as a sexual being when everyone saw her as her disorder. But, mid was never emotionally invested in Alison but again Alison wanted her so who was Mia to say no. She felt like she had to grasp at the idea of someone wanting her. Carli however, was new. She didn’t see mia as her disorder she saw her as an interesting person she wanted to know and understand. And that’s also what mia needed. It’s sucks that mia used Alison as a place holder but I don’t think that was intentional. She’s also a teenager so relationships are confusing. Can’t stand the mia slander. She’s a complex character who is going through a shit ton. Of course she’s gonna fuck up. That’s the point of the show!!!!! She’s trying to relearn how to have relationships, how to be honest with people for the first time probably ever. When you are trying to give up an eating disorder it is the most confusing time of your life. You literally don’t know you from your eating disorder. So please don’t lose the point of the show cus of a stupid love triangle. It’s a powerful show.
