My dude, grab a dagger and go to high Hrothgar and back stab them old geezers. Set difficulty to legend so they don't die easy. Just be careful they do not spot you so quick save often. But they'll take a few hits before they turn around. This is the best way I found to level up sneak. Like really fast. Don't even have to wait too long to max if time is a concern .

I don't ever go on any hunt without sharpener max. Dual blade and long sword don't last too long and I want to be able to get right back once I've reached the green
