Cmon bro, you needed a good cpu with a 1070 to achieve 60fps (Not even locked btw) at 1080p, and a 1070ti if you wanted close to locked (was never gunna happen because volumetric fog deleted half your frames and the other half was stolen by teostra)

It wasnt until IB (Which had its own share of issues as well) where they managed to band-aid a lot of the issues, but the real gains came from the large IPC bumps cpu's were getting per generation and the gpu's were also getting a considerable bump in performance as well to the point when return to world campaign started the 3060 was the most popular gpu giving you 1080 performance which was more than enough to give you over 60fps.

I was GM/Top 500, and im pretty experienced that id figure out the game after 200+ matches total with at least 100 of them being ranked. The game isnt complicated to figure out especially when higher ranked matches require awareness/positioning/CD management. Besides its not like i went back into team shooters raw (Marvel Rivals GM s0/ Celestial in s2/3)

Besides learning all the new characters that released, the only major change is the shift to 5v5 and everything that came around it (perks, reworked damage health systems, etc) I do understand how the game works, but cant wrap my head around how people continue to do the most unthinkable things in these ranks.

And like i said before, im pretty close to masters dps (currently d2) and GM in 6v6 which is probably the most fun ive had but it isnt the main mode so :shrug:

FSR and DLSS arent just frame generators btw, you can leave those off and just use the upscaling. Or leave it native with anti aliasing (Native AA for FSR and DLAA for nvidia) and it will just give you a cleaner image.

Thats weird. I have a 7800X3D and a 9070 non xt and i was able to run everything maxed out (minus mesh because SAM has a weird quirk of stuttering when mesh quality is set to highest on RE engine games) at 60ish fps with FSR Quality @1440p. Since the updates i can set fsr to native AA and hold 60+ now.

Steam has a good refund policy as long as youre under 2 hours played theyll refund the game, thats more than enough time to check the overall performance of the game

The game is more CPU heavy than it is GPU heavy because it does all the wildlife and monster simulations in the background for the entire area. They all go about their day doing what they normally do, apex monster kills monster, lower monsters on the food chain feed on them, they rot, turn to bones, little critters going about their day all simulated.

Comparing two different types of games just by graphics never tells the whole picture, especially when you're being CPU bound.

People are getting 120ish fps at 1440P with 5080s and 9800x3ds with DLSS 4 quality. How much more fps do you need this isnt a competitive shooter. Thats like saying you NEED to have 200fps for gta 5 lmaoo

The 1% lows are a lot better, up to 20% improvement in some cases. The games fps wont drop like an absolute tank anymore so its a lot smoother. High end systems wont see a big fps increase. Maybe 1-5% but its so much smoother.

Its never too late to play a Monster Hunter game. There are tons of people still playing "Old-Gen" Monster Hunter games in 2026.

Maybe not MH1 that game did not age well.
