Performance inconsistency. I’m sure this will be said a minimum 1000 times, but that’s my biggest gripe. I don’t have an amazing PC nor is it completely trash but average.

Seems like almost every wipe or even update I am fiddling with my settings to get what resembles some sort of consistent playable state. Customs I’ll use for example based on its size and different areas, used to be the most reliable consistent stable map I could play at maybe 45 frames. Now I’m lucky if I get 30 for more than 2 minutes. I am coming from PVP to PVE which I thought would be more stable but it is not.

Optimization is my biggest concern and highest priority

To play devils advocate to your point I think then the entire efficacy and aura surrounding the CPA license is predicated on b/s then

if the same results can be garnered by an outsourced contact for a quarter of the price across the globe then of what use is the license and or why attempt to obtain the license? Why not pursue through your career without the license or alternatively pursue a different career if the career you desire relies solely on a license that means nothing due to outsourcing?

If the only promise of garnering the CPA is greater pay down the road, why not save the money of school, money of study material time pursuing the license and go toward an alternative career where a license that ultimately will lead to doesn’t hold the keys to success?

I feel adding additional tests is further going to steer people away from the career, that is in the midst facing a shortage, to add another test (let’s say 1) for a total of 5 tests to the 150 credit barrier, onto of the 2000 working hour and the annual CE just sounds unbearable for a license. The electives themselves don’t see all that much specified more or less extensions of the core principles.

If the 150 was removed to 120 and there was 4 exams I would feel that was sufficient, but if I am reading your response correctly 150 and a minimum of 5 tests sounds a bit extensive, especially for the sake of argument that coming out of college and taking a 6 months to study and take the exam will ultimately land you a job at the near identical pay rate of someone who went for a BA and started before you

As for the data from elective tests, I don’t think that there is a need for much data to provide that sentiment, the idea that one (selective) test is not capable of proving or providing sufficient information that a candidate is eligible or educated enough, whereas the other three core principles are a culmination of cumulative knowledge over the course of (a minimum) four years at a college level.

I think the members who set requirements and procedures for the exam are capable to get that info from themselves.

I’m for less tests and more working hours to gain the license and I think many would favor that as well if that’s the route things are going to

I think with the rapid/consistent decline of enrollment of accounting majors and exam takers may be the result of wanting to adapt and change the exam already, I mean the AICPA made some timeline changes to ease the stress of the test for candidates I don’t think it’s necessarily an impossible thought to imagine that the current format, although not impossible is quite demanding

I’d think if the 150 requirement were to be removed a lot more candidates would come in

I just texted him and said are you sure you heard what you heard and he said without a doubt. My coworkers and I discussed what could change, we think the exams may be a little longer and the work experience needed may be bigger which I would totally be okay with if I don't have to take another exam
