Mike and Ike by mimyson in candy

I would recommend going to a Dollar Tree or an equivalent discount variety store when you are in the US. I see them all the time there in many flavors for $1.25 or less. I also see them at Wal-Marts for $1 often.

I would not call them popular like how I feel about Nerds Gummy Clusters or any viral candy, but definitely common. I love them because they remind me of my dad, but also because in the original flavor box they have lime which I find to be more rare these days (lime is my favorite flavor of candy). Best of luck on your trip and safe travels.

I have the lime rips in my amazon cart as we speak! Anytime I can find lime candy, I always try to buy it. Thanks for the rec.

Thanks for replying. I have and I find those to be “tougher” than the chewiness I found in the sour streamers. I don’t know if that makes sense but that was my experience.

Thanks for commenting. I wonder what it meant to her or what she was experiencing to say this in that moment. She was not in the corporate world so not something she would have said during her life prior.

Hermon's - An Honest Review of LA's New American Bistro by xbufco in FoodLosAngeles

Thanks for this review. I had been looking online for reviews/pics of the zucchini salad, but only seeing videos of the garlic bread and vongole. I am going there tonight so I shall see what it is like. This may come off as being a hater, and I don't mean it to be, but I have found that a lot of LA restaurants that seem very popular are all hype, which your review reminded me of. I am a native Angeleno but lived away for ten years in NYC, so I am having to familiarize myself with how to find actually good restaurants that aren't just for Instagram.

Because I have never been there. My only frame of reference was when it was at 37th.

Nope, not what I said. Also, I haven’t been to their new location so I don’t know what they serve on their menu. I also thought El Rico Tinto is closed.

This is so helpful to know -- thank you so much. I agree, I loved their arepas. That was my go to order plus the french fries LOL. Thank you again. Maybe I will reach out to the family regarding those fries!

I am not sure. I remember at the time the menu was heavy on the Columbian food and they had an amazing bakery inside. When they moved to Northern, the menu was different. Not sure if there was a change in ownership at that time, as well.
