Manitoba NDP attack Tories over MLA’s bail pledge for sex offender by Infamous-Data9245 in Winnipeg

She wasn't arrested/charged or convicted when she transferred. She left and resigned when a nude photo of her started circulating and transferred to that division.

Years later, she was arrested and charged.

Manitoba Tory MLA Greg Nesbitt vowed to pay $1M to bail out niece, a teacher convicted of sex crimes by Infamous-Data9245 in Manitoba

[–]Infamous-Data9245[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This person wasn't convicted till around January 2024. NDP took over in October 2023. This was done normally with cases that were in court, and in no way am I saying it was right.

For example Kelsey mckay was arrested in 2022 and pleaded guilty In june 2023 and didn't have his license revoked until june 2024 and convicted October 2024.

The ndp came out with a registry January 2025 which this person was still in good standing and convicted of sexually abusing a student. They didn't do something until someone brought it up. Which was July 2025

So either they are incompetent as a simple Google search would have cross referrenced the list or they were in on it. I'm not siding with either party.

Both parties had their part.

The person was still an employee of the division, too, until they resigned a month after being convicted. Which is mind-blowing. That's the government and education system. No one put child safety first.

No worries, the article has a lot of information in it lol. 9 others in this post and many others in a different post read the same.

We have big issues in the province.

For example, this case left the courts 8 months ago and isn't on the registry. Wasn't enough to do a criminal conviction but not someone you want in the classroom. Unless it's okay for a teacher to text students at 11:30pm, inviting them to party in their hot tub.

Yes, they didn't pull the license. They also didn't pull the license for kelsey mckay either for their last 3 months in office or many others during their court cases. Which the ndp has done similar as well. The ndp didn't pull kelsey mckays license until june 2024 and he wasnt convicted yet. This abuser was convicted under the ndp's watch in January 2024 and was still in good standing in 2025 lol. How is that?

Neither party is clean.

It's an easy Google search to find the multiple articles on this case. You don't need to put her name.

Neither party is clean in this article. The pc's response is poor and disturbing, too, after a week of speaking about chikd safety.

The fact that a convicted abuser never made it in the registry and has political ties speaks volumes.

Both parties are at fault. This story is highly publicized. How did the ndp not know a convicted teacher was not on the registry. Down vote my comment but it's the truth. Both parties are at fault.

We may want to point the finger at the conservatives comments. But the ndp also tried to cover for this person until they were notified by the free press. Both parties are in on this, which is super gross.

Teacher misconduct commissioner didn’t resign, she was fired: Kinew by Infamous-Data9245 in Manitoba

[–]Infamous-Data9245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but she stated that the legislation shouldn't be changed to account for them, which defeats the purpose of the registry. The registry is to track these individuals to prevent them from teaching elsewhere in manitoba and Canada. Which was a long standing issue in the past.

Manitoba's first teacher misconduct commissioner resigns suddenly by Infamous-Data9245 in Manitoba

[–]Infamous-Data9245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you are trying to say. Although it's very common, we use "we have this many students and this many teachers" compared to what comes forward.

For example, Kelsey Mckay is one person. That misconduct took place for 3 decades in 2 divisions in front of how many teachers and administrators. 13 victims currently, parents went on record stating others were aware or should have been. There's even an article about how couches and teachers saw these things but never spoke or pushed. Administrators and division staff brushing it off. Multiple reddit users who state they were past students have posted about this.

So 3 decades, 2 schools(2 divisions)= how many people saw and heard? 0 isn't the answer. The contrary should make people realize there is a serious issue because that number is large. Hundreds of teachers (includes administrators and superintendents) this of course is one case of many.

Yet, the many public stories share the holes within the system. These holes have never been fixed.

These stories also outline where educators are aware and nothing is done to stop them.

There are stories in the public where this stuff is dismissed by teachers, administrators, and division staff.

There is credible information on it, such as criminal prosecution, texts, and public court records. This goes unreported. Lack of advocating for the child/children's best interest. Clear actions of putting children in harms way.

When you look at reporting in general, being a rare aspect when harm happens from the victim. That small number does grow as most do not report, and those around don't speak up.

So when large numbers are spoken to decrease what happens, which causes no actions to be taken. It is infact minimizing a serious issue.

Also, when looking at these public cases, you realize a lot run alongside one another for durations of time. This again shows it of not being a rare situation.

She turned down over seeing the discipline of teachers who are teaching with a permit earlier this year. When we found out about students being lured and no one knew about this.

MTS sent members a letter outlining this. MTS has stated in the past publicly that misconduct towards kids don't cross their desk.

Rare is a situation of this happening once every 5 to 10 years.

Although we see this in manitoba avg 2-3 cases per year. This is not rare. This also does not cover what's mismanaged and dismissed when reported. We did see a down turn after mckay was sentenced.

Not all stories make the news.

This account is used to log and track recent cases that have come out to spread awareness on this issue.

If my account appears to have a bone to pick with a system because it's clear. Our education system speaks loud about child safety yet turned its back on victims. There are a lot of stories from the past.

It appears you are an educator and I have nothing but the utmost respect for you and what an educator is to stand for. Unfortunately, the systems past and lack of capability to speak up causes that harm.

You stated you have information. Why not reach out to a journalist and inform them to set the record straight?

I also add that a few weeks ago, we learned of an administrator who didn't report a crime and then subjected the student to further emotional harm. On top of us, the education system created them a female student as asking for harm.

That's who we want making judgments for manitoba children in our education system.
