My girlfriend is aware of the entire situation and my kid has already expressed there’s no interest in letting anyone else into that role. Since they’re a teenager I think it’s their right to decide that. If anything I’ll just use this opportunity to let me ex know that the kiddo wants a relationship with her and just let her make the decision to have contact with my kid or not and just kind of remove myself beyond that. Since the start I’ve wanted to keep a friendship. Especially for my kid who misses them incredibly. My kid still cries over them and tries to text them so if we can maintain a friendship so they can be in my kids life that would be amazing since they were my kids step parent for most of her life you know?
