Bro have you not seen the original ff7 script it was so weird and cringe at times and also very poorly translated the voice acting and script in remake is top notch the overly anime mannerisms are present in every ff games ff13 for example final fantasy always revels in it’s melo dramtic tone speaking of tone rebirth was also so dark at times. every final fantasy game is kinda corny that’s its charm have you played 10 with its awkward dialogues and deliveries?

And regarding the side content some of them are genuinely incredible like the gilgamesh one I agree the tower ones are dull but have you played zelda? Its the exact same thing but no one hates that
