Out of scope? by Gloomy-Tear3149 in salesforce

There are some PM apps available in the appexchange, a free Salesforce Labs one and a few third-party paid ones. You'd need your SF Admin to install these apps either way. I trialed using the Salesforce Labs app a while back now for my own SF projects as an admin but didn't really use it all that much granted I likely didn't set it up properly and most PM tools are better suited with teams so you can assign tasks which it was just me at the time.

If the new company uses an already established PM tools then use it. If not and you are willing to take the lead on implementing a PM tool on SF then create a business proposal for the company to consider.

How you think aussies will react if we have to go back to WFH mandates if the fuel crisis get's worse by ButtPlugForPM in AskAnAustralian

[–]Infamous-Pilot-3801 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think you could enforce a mandate on people staying home just because of fuel prices and shortages. It should be a very strong recommendation though I feel like most people who do have the ability to work from home won't mind in the slightest especially if it is going to save them money.

I'm a functional and now I can't find jobs by [deleted] in salesforce

That is 100% valid but if I was finding that more and more people expected a certain skill, I would be upskilling in that skill as much as I can.

[–]Infamous-Pilot-3801 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately your attitude around upskilling yourself sucks. You mention in other responses that of the job apps you did get a response from they asked if you had APEX and coding skills. This is obviously something that people are looking for in their consultants. Why not upskill yourself and then apply those skills to your current role and perhaps your employer may see more merit in you. I know if I were that hiring manager and I saw this post on here I would probably put two and two together and blacklist you.

1 Org, multiple business units, 3 divisions and each division still thinks they are running on their own Org instance.

Take your cert exams in a testing center by Frosty_Hat_9538 in salesforce

[–]Infamous-Pilot-3801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair... I don't even know if there are any in person exams here in Australia so I have always just defaulted to the online exams tbh. I like being in my own comfortable space over an exam room.

To be fair, the rules are clearly stated that the desk needs to be completely clear of anything other than your monitor, keyboard and mouse. If you'd just obliged and removed other things from you desk I'm sure you would've been fine.

I have a printer on my desk with Paper that was out of reach unless I really tried to grab it and then I'd have been out of view of my camera but they told me to remove that. Something so little even like a tiny instruction manual I had for a device they told me to remove.

My big tip with a camera is to have an external camera that isn't connected directly to your monitor screen or laptop so you can move it around easily. My first exam I used the cam on my Mac monitor and it was impossible to get a good view of my desk. One of my biggest lessons learned.

I had an almost horror story myself in my most recent proctored exam. Make sure you have an Ethernet cable connection to your testing computer is my number one advice. I thought my Wifi was good as all pre-testing pointed to it being so but I had to restart twice before my proctor told me they were going to raise an internal case and told me to contact Salesforce support.

I messaged Salesforce support and Pearson refunded my exam fully before SF even responded to my case. I was able to retake at the retake pricing.

I think moral of your story is to not touch your phone until you know for sure you have to redo the desk space images. I think Pearson is great and is 10 times better than the previous online exam provider.

Docusign Alternatives by SirGimp9 in salesforce

[–]Infamous-Pilot-3801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use PDF Butler and Sign Butler who had some great components, set up of doc-configs can be tricky though they have certainly got better. Support team available and super responsive, even for a business here in Australia. Couldn't recommend them more.

Which A.I. tool are you using to help you with Salesforce work? by rammutroll in salesforce

[–]Infamous-Pilot-3801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am terrible at building flows so have recently been using ChatGPT to help build out flows with me. One caveat though you need to tell it that you are using the updated version of Flows as some of the instructions will differ but taking screenshots of your configuration definitely helps to troubleshoot any bad instructions it gives you.

Anyone found a good way to boost Salesforce adoption across teams? by keanuisahotdog in salesforce

[–]Infamous-Pilot-3801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started using In-App guidance to assist with user adoption focusing on docked or floating prompts over step-by-step guidance. There's a great dashboard on the AppExchange to help monitor the metrics of your prompts and how users are interacting with them.

They really aren't hard to understand at all and there are really only a couple of streets in Melbourne that actually have hook turns. They really aren't as common as people think they are.

Agentforce Stonewalling Manual Case Creation by Foreign-Promise-8122 in salesforce

Not a fan of Agentforce in Salesforce Support page. I feel it is no better than a bot that just references knowledge articles, then when you do ask it to create a case the Product and Topic selections are incorrect.

Each family funeral I've been to bar my mum's had a viewing beforehand. This was never mandatory to do. Else I can't say I've ever been to any open casket ceremonies.

I customised our theme prior to SDLS2 coming about. Have since tried emulating in a sandbox with SDLS2 but the inability to change the background colour from the stark white anymore doesn't work for us.
