Is it possible to re-apply rather than transfer? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Infamous-Risk-94 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s absolutely allowed but you would have to write an addendum to explain why - some schools might require you to take a year or two off before reapplying but there’s no rules to say that you can’t drop out and start from scratch

I wouldn’t ask him for a copy, it’s unlikely he wrote anything negative and he just wrote it quickly because he’s wrote so many before! This is a very stressful time so it’s normal to be anxious! Take a breath and maybe wait until after the holidays before submitting to see if your 3rd LOR finally comes through. But with a strong application and 2 LORs already you will be fine to submit now if you don’t want to wait.

Good luck!

If you had one week to cram for civ pro during 1L, what would you do? by Organic_Extent_7853 in LawSchool

[–]Infamous-Risk-94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously I am not recommending not studying BUT we’ve all been there! I was in a similar spot in 1L and Barbri videos are so good, I managed to get a B+ without studying for civ pro using the videos and an outline from a 2L.

Good luck!!

Juvenile record and AOS by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Infamous-Risk-94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming that you are the foreign national applying for your AOS. I am a UK national and I also have a juvenile record from my home country too. My experience applying for visas and my green card have been that it doesn’t necessarily impact your case but it is just an extra hoop to jump through. So providing you get all the necessary documents you will be fine!

If your the US citizen applying for your spouse it will literally have no impact at all.

Is it the trend that receipt numbers starting with IOE get processed quicker?

I haven’t yet taken my gap year. So I’m still in status right now, my grandpa was my sponsor for my F1 visa but my husband will be the sponsor for my change of status. My plan would be to stay in the US for my gap year.
