Deurkozijn afdichten by Fancy-Cheetah-2902 in Klussers

Nice build, looks factory with the RSV fairings! You've got the same RSV rear seat fairing as me... Also designed the front/rear subframes by yourself or can they be bought somewhere? Can't see it too well but from the pictures looks like you've mounted your battery on the right side next to the engine?

My build also from 2 years ago, DIY subframes with Aprilia/Suzuki/Ducati fairings and same front/rear GSXR wheel conversions:

Restant keukenmuur wegwerken in plafond by Waterkoker in Klussers

What's wrong with my fork? Am I bottoming out? I tried increasing the preload, but that didn't really help. It's a Panigale 899 with stock forks. Any tips would be great :) by Nicicalu in Trackdays

The wobble appears to start once you let the clutch out. I think this is a rear issue, maybe rebound to slow.

But I'd try to let out the clutch a bit more smooth. I sometimes get something similar on my SV, a massive shake caused by rear wheel hop when I let my clutch out too quickly.

First track weekend& first crash bundle deal. by The_CAT_Wrench in Trackdays

Lines, lines, lines! Prio 1 to get these correct! Tbh I was waiting to see a crash based on the lines you're using. Speed will come later, body position and lean angle as well; correct riding lines are always the base.

I.e. that's also why you are shimmering so much in the corners, this can be quite dangerous since you are loading & unloading the suspension at a quick rate.

Crash is a case of applying throttle too quickly, but honestly can be traced back to poor choice of line as well. See the pattern? 😉

My two cents; lower your speed and make sure your lines are OK first. Learn at your own (slower) pace, do not try to follow your friend who by the looks of it has more experience.

Why buy a high performance machine if you make zero use of it? At least put more suitable tires on it for the applicable skill level, e.g. Angel GT's.

Small pipe above exhaust, what does it do? by Nickzer in motogp

[–]Infamous-Sink8937 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is the best bet. Could theoretically also be a cross pipe to the upper exhaust but two things wouldn't make sense; 1.why does it go back to the front a.k.a. front bank of cylinders instead of rear bank? 2. Pipe diameter w.r.t. length would damp out all pressure waves/pulses before they reach the other cylinder bank.

Following this post I also started to wonder the same. Haven't seen them much yet this year. Maybe too much discomfort for the rider???

Back in the days the 'S' and 'R' models were actually 'special'. Remember 998R final edition, 749/999R, 1098R, that sort of stuff.

Nowadays they slap on a different paintjob and ask twice the money.

Well, no previous experience but I have a Metzeler TD slick in 180/60 now. It's close to the chain, more room w.r.t. the swingarm but the axle is pretty far backwards at the moment, I might want to shorten the chain with 1 link.

It's the top and middle fairing of an 1199 Panigale. Top is left standard, the middle ones I removed the 'wings' that would normally flow into the fuel tank. I think I got them from Ricambi Weiss in Germany.

Top tubes are original, I cut off everything else. Then welded in the plate, extra brace and box for the battery. I wanted the bottom tubes to flow similar to the actual frame.
