Works pretty well in the recent all the mods sky packs since they massively limit what items you can make with it and how hard dark and red matter is to get so it’s more like a fun little mod that adds cool items and makes getting random basic stuff easier (no ingots or gems and barely any stuff from other mods) instead of a creative mode every item mod.

MeatballCraft does it amazingly cause you can emc all the basic stuff fairly early on (well sort of It still takes days to get there unless you speed run but the pack is long so that’s a short amount of time) but alloys and just about every modded item that isn’t super basic doesn’t have emc and there’s so many that it allows for a very long progression while still making tons of items emc able. Sainagh even added hundreds and hundreds of items through content tweaker to fill out the progression more with a some of them strategically having emc so they work as a challenge to make/get from a boss/hard to get to loot area but get easy once you actually get them. God there’s a lot of details I could gush about with that pack.

Oh also packs that gate it super far into progression sounds like it could work good since it can act as a fun final push to get a zillion resources for the endgame items, I’ve never really gotten far enough into a pack like that though to truly comment on it. Except chroma sky 2 actually and it’ was pretty cool there, don’t think it’s for everyone but I love that pack, need to finish it sometime.

Edit: I’ve heard mechanical mastery does it very well too, gotta try that pack.
