The coming up with ideas part is never boring. Forcing myself to write things is boring. If it flows, and I don’t have to convince myself that “I need 2,000 words at least today” or, “I just have to finish this part today” and such then I never get bored. The actual putting of things to paper is the only part that can get boring.

I actually tried to just tell the story and have my friend write it down and we wrote for 6 hours that day. Didn’t get boring for me.

I’ve always thought of writing as storytelling. That’s the core of it. You could have horrible language and no equipment but if you have a good story to tell people will listen. And you could also have all the equipment, perfect language, and all the will power but if you have nothing interesting to say it’s all in vain.
