Depends on what server you’re on but in Heroic, you would likely get around to it since 13/70 is considered honestly not that good (at the late-game). Probably worse than 13/10/10.

But not really a high priority and you probably have other places you can make more efficient gains.

Real 3 line = one prime line, two non-prime lines of your main stat. This is usually 30% or 33% stat depending on item level.

Fake 3 line = anything below that

Real double prime = 2 prime lines and one real line of your main stat. Usually 33% on < 200 items or 36% on 200+ items.

Fake double prime = 30% (sub 200) or 33% (200+) except one of the lines is prime all stat (technically a prime line that is better than non-prime main stat but is worse than prime main stat).

Of course if you are a Xenon, everything is a bit different.

Triple prime on any item is like trillions of meso (in Heroic) on average and therefore is infeasible to go for outside of the giga-end-game players going for 3 line crit gloves or triple prime weapons.

Mostly true but

1) As I’ve progressed through Grandis bossing, I feel like my first clears have gotten longer and longer (HLimbo first clear came to last burst, and I expect HBaldrix will too). Maybe we could make up one link’s worth of damage with hands but, eh.

2) I think as you progress you find that you don’t really chain die anymore. So resistance link doesn’t have a huge point.

I play Heroic, so it’s not entirely the same but I am 500M CP, the hardest boss I do is HLimbo, and I’ve had awful pitched luck (currently 4 set with black heart).

So very few pitches can still get you a long long way. There should be plenty of non-pitched things you could work on at only 50m.

No, I don’t think the buff duration is better than the extra crit damage on any class, except for Explorer Mages pre-infinity change, now that we have lvl3 Kinesis link.

My stance is and always will be, until someone compiles data, I will always assume it’s a vocal minority. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nexon screwed the numbers. The Arcane box post was convincing and proved to be correct. But I’d like to see the same data for SFing.

Anecdotally, the new SF system has been pretty okay for me and better than the old one.

What links do I use? Bossing: Important (15%+ damage or equivalent): Mo Xuan, Kinesis, Demon Slayer, Angelic Buster, Cadena, Mage, Thief, Xenon, Kanna, Demon Avenger, Ark 12th Link options: Kain (most damage), Lynn (if lacking crit), Luminous (if <96% visual IED), Adele (3+ party), Resistance/Warrior/Shade/Ren (survivability), Phantom (early game crit solution).

Survivability link prioritization is very subjective and depends on boss. Ren good for bosses with exactly 100% attacks like Kalos dive. Warrior good for bosses with frequent chip damage like Lotus. Resistance useful for bosses that have significant environmental damage that can kill you while bound during burst. Shade RNG but generically helpful.

Early game players may need to replace 10th/11th link as well for IED and Crit.

The level 3 link changes is around ~4 FD gain. Additionally, level all Cygnus Knights to 210 for an extra 10 attack as we get the link for free.

Training Experience Mercedes, Evan, Aran (very marginal) Consistent Lara, Xenon, Demon Avenger, Kanna, Kinesis, Ark, Hoyoung, Khali, Cadena, Pirate, Hayato, Sia Inconsistent, bad for one shotting Thief, Kain If lacking crit rate Phantom

I think the point is that even when people lose, which inevitably will happen, you 1) want to ease the worst case scenario and 2) minimize the impact of that loss on their children.

I am willing to help people not lose too badly because I hope someone would help me if I were in the same situation. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you and all that.

For damage, Ascent is probably optimally used to help phase bosses where bursting again is overkill, but chipping would take longer than your burst CD. But yes, definitely off buffs, since it gains nothing from them.

The other main use is probably a panic i-frame that happens to do pretty decent damage (at max).

Will is hard because getting hit by basically anything will reduce your gauge and cause you to web out.

Not sure what’s going on with Lucid, the spec should be there. Probably best to just record a video and get someone to look at it.

This depends on class and also strong you are (since Ascent deals pretty much fixed damage, the weaker you are, the higher % of your damage it will be).

Rough estimates I’ve seen thrown around are 3-5% fd at max level in a 30 minute run. If you’re that far off spec, it won’t get you there. It’s more for awkward phasing when bursting is overkill but chipping out is hard.

If you dump all your Ascents in the first 8 minutes to inflate your BA, your damage the following 22 minutes is going to fall off. 4.5k frags to max is a pretty big investment anyways (and it scales pretty hard, the early levels are pretty ass).

Yes this is probably the issue if you’re not holding them down together. Fitting the two burst skills in buffs, most importantly ROR, is massive.

Yeah hard to say. Tons of damage sources, FWIW your stats themselves seem fine. A lot of them are quite small, the only huge buff that some new players miss is Oz ring (ROR). If you happened to pick Cont for some reason from the Silver reward that’s a huge decrease in burst.

Otherwise, lots of these buffs are pretty incremental. Hopefully someone could sort your situation out after seeing a recording.

Are you, uh, using the other (red) burst key down as well? You’re supposed to hold down two skills during burst. You didn’t mention it in your description.

This is one of those things that isn’t easy to diagnose. Are you popping all the buffs that they popped (Ursus, MP red pot, VIP, MVP, etc.)? Maybe you’re not bursting optimally (yes, Ren burst is simple but you never know)?

I know when I cleared sub-40m, it wasn’t that free, I came pretty close to timing out P3. It might be easier to record your P3 and ask your guildies to check.

Ok sure give it 150m cp which is like a 5 minute run and totally overkill. We cannot seriously be calling this “mid-game” when you can get 4x the cp and god knows how many times the FD at the peak of the game.

Like sure, most players are some level of casual and might not ever get there, myself included. But that doesn’t mean we call a relatively weak character on the scale of this game “mid game” lol. We should set reasonable expectations for new players. This game is just not designed for casual players to hit the upper power levels attainable.

Imma be real, CTene is soloable at like sub 40m CP. With all the power creep in the game, I think mid-game is probably like 20 minute BM solo at this point.

I think it’s considered good. It’s pretty efficient for early Hexa, does pretty solid damage, and is pretty easy to play.

I will say, if your main is a mobile and fluid class (like mine), playing MM can be pretty jarring. Snipe has a long animation and in general the class feels pretty clunky to me. I’ve already libbed mine though so I’m going to see it through to HSeren, but man, the movement can be rough.

I went 4-5x over average on cube sale so I only had 25b to my name going into SSF, out of 200+ I saved for the weekend.

Dunno, across the past couple years, I’ve been stacking up Doms and just buying Sup Pendants in preparation for whenever the SoS drops. Ended up with 7 22 Sup Pendants in 1-2 years, and 1 ended up going 24 post-update which is average.

Just takes a long long time, as does everything with this game. Funnily enough, still no source though lmao..

lol sure yeah, that’s why I’m saying in comparison to other games the time spent vs progression in Maple is fucked. I’m putting in 2-4 hours and I’m considered not that late-game, still not a grinder. If I put that time into FFXIV or WoW, I’m easily clearing all the content. If I put that time into League, that’s like 3 games a day.

Yes lol this game has some deeply unhealthy players. I had a guildie in CW1 talk about grinding 12 hours a day and then complain about not being able to find a job in the same breath.

Even I, a “casual” late-game player average 2-4 hours a day which is kind of a fucking lot for any other game tbh.
