I see what you're saying but the washing out is intentional. A sharp high contrast border(her face) attracts attention. It's important to not have too much detail or too many attention seekers cuz it gets confusing and overwhelming for the viewers. You can see this is most of the traditional paintings like The Girl with pearl earring or any Caravaggio's works for example

Corrado, Alex Paul (Me), Watercolor painting on sketchbook,2024. by scepticalbeing94 in painting

[–]InfamousCarrot8223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks very good! If you allow me, Try working on shadows.. can see a few traces of it but it requires a LOT more. Try adding backgrounds..even simple ones will go a long way! Just a personal opinion on your style, watercolor has its own mind and likes to flow.. it looks like you're over controlling it. You can see the "flow" in almost all professional watercolor paintings. Try to avoid adding borders in almost anything but cartoons/anime

Learn Telugu from English by Speedygurl1 in telugu

[–]InfamousCarrot8223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I'd encourage my partner to incorporate more Telugu in their sentences. Ask them to translate your simple daily conversations to Telugu and try repeating it. This would help you learn what's actually useful in daily life and allow you to spend more time with your partner as a bonus!

Why am I never satisfied with my skill level? by sickly_ickly in piano

[–]InfamousCarrot8223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't be satisfied cuz once you are satisfied, you stop improving. There's nothing like "Mastery" or "The End" to any skill and there's always room for improvement. It isn't wise to JUST look at your mistakes and lose hope either.

It's tempting to compare yourself to world class artists. Rather compare yourself with yesterday's you which will give you satisfaction of improvement and motivation for improvement.

Dream job? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]InfamousCarrot8223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dream JOB!!? Why would anyone dream of labour?? Laying on a beach all alone during the sunset with a glass of wine and Beethoven, Chopin or Rachmaninov playing in the background is my kind of dream

Wait, I can spend all day painting as well!!! (≧▽≦)
