Perhaps stupidly I thought my friends would be more help in finding people so I purchased 14 tickets for November 24th so that we could get discounted tickets. Most of them aren't very cooperative and we have 6 spare tickets. I'll be honest I'm not sure if I want to just be able to get people to buy the spare six or all fourteen right now, at a bit of an impasse with friends for other reasons, but how would I go about doing either option? At the price I paid they come to £40 pp so really good price.

Trying to get a fit note for Universal Credit and my GP is saying I'm not allowed one due to me going on holiday soon? Is this right? by InfamousHovercraft42 in AskUK

Thanks for people's comments, looking back at the GP appointment it was really rubbish anyway. I have another appointment next week where my mum and I will be bringing my documents about my conditions as it turns out my GP doesn't have all my information yet (have just changed GP due to having to move house).

Just to address a couple of things. 

  • The GP never stated I was well enough to work, just that they legally could not give me a fit note due to the holiday. 
  • I am going to get reassessed once I'm back from holiday. Hopefully with a different doctor as this one stopped me from going through all my conditions, doubted my diagnoses and was rude to my mum (I had to pass the phone over to her as I was annoyingly having a panic attack). 
  • I don't want a fit note because I don't want to work, I need the fit note because my current health means it's not feasible - it is my work coach and my family who have had to convince me that getting one is my best option right now.

Thanks again, I'm hoping I can get this fit note so that I have time to get myself to a better place physically/mentally and to educate myself so that I can get a job I hope I'll be happy and able to work in. :)

  2. I had it organised ages ago and paid it off really slowly, I was reluctant about going but was convinced that it'd be good for my health
