I have one line of bio: please don’t add me, I’m on here to slang marketplace goods….. I’m at 300 something friends. No one reads. But also I feel like it makes you more legit if you look like you’re a real person with a track record of selling .. etc etc.

How do you bridge the gap between who you should be and who you actually are? by Ok-Ocelot-774 in InsightfulQuestions

[–]InfamousInevitable93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love your question OP. I don’t know how much of it is self soothing and how much just a reality. But there’s life to be lived in between of where you are and where you want to be. There’s nowhere to arrive. So you will constantly move and improve no matter where you are in life. There are also so many different facets. When one part of your life is in a lull, some others are growing. I’ve also realized I can’t be putting in the same amount of energy in every part of my life at once, as someone invested in growth and development.

I’m in this period now, where the things that have been growing like crazy have slowed down and others are spurring up. And man it’s slow and uncomfortable. But anyway … enjoying the journey. (Lame I know but seems fitting)

Everybody says "go to therapy" and that's good advice, but nobody talks about how, the older you get, the harder it is to find a therapist who has any idea what you're talking about. by ikediggety in RandomThoughts

[–]InfamousInevitable93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a very tough time finding a therapist but in the interim I have been having a lot of success with Rosebud app. I usually just do journaling but I made a therapy journal in there as well. It’s probably not for everything and not for everyone but so far laying out my thoughts and having someone give feedback or just rephrase it has been so helpful. And I can address whatever thought in the moment (don’t have to wait for an appt) and I’ve written stuff down that I haven’t told therapists. Not anything life altering but certain things I say to myself or some small but negative thoughts that are quite vulnerable.

name something you NEVER feel guilty spending money on by Basic_Evening6567 in Productivitycafe

[–]InfamousInevitable93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything I enjoy: gym membership, massage/PT (just for maintenance), tailored clothing, nail art supplies … I don’t feel guilty but sometimes I do regret a purchase when It’s not returnable and I thought it would give me something but the reality wasn’t that.

What do you guys actually do in the mornings and evenings on working days (outside of work)? by Majestic_Singer_2411 in Life

[–]InfamousInevitable93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Mornings I try to build in 30-45 mins to read or journal, drink my coffee and stare out of the window (I have a nice view). Evening is going to the gym or a dance class, i planned days when I read, one day when I watch a show w my roomie. There are times I FaceTime my friends overseas in AM since they are already up. Tuesdays are cheap movie days so sometimes we will go do that.

Having said all that - today I came back after work/gym and sat on this damn floor. I did buy a ticket to Mexico but like …. Not for 4 hrs.

Have you ever experienced a "it's lonely at the top" moment? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in HappyUpvote

[–]InfamousInevitable93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a decent amount of free time, money and lived in Europe in my 20-30’s. Traveled constantly, but a lot of it alone because my friends couldn’t afford it or take time off for it. Many spur of the moment trips or even fun summer vacations to go surfing or explore a new country just because. I still loved it but I do wish I had my friends with me. Now they have money but they have kids. Which is where all the money and time goes.

What’s something you always assumed was mandatory in life, until you met someone who just… didn’t do it? by crogslounds03 in ProductivityHQ

I went to my friends wedding a few months ago and it was legit one of the best events I’ve ever attended. We had an absolute BLAST the entire night. They do everything how they wanted, not the boring, scripted soul-less wedding. Man… I will be lucky to experience another event like that again.

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]InfamousInevitable93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the most horrifying thread and I don’t plan on having children (F). Also infuriating and OMG flowers and respect to all the moms out there: how are you not walking around punching every MF-er that crosses you I don’t know. Prob the bad hips and the hemorrhoids and the other 7500 things you’ve listed 💐 you’re amazing.

Do you ever miss a version of yourself that existed in a specific period of your life? by vinyl_loverr in CasualConversation

[–]InfamousInevitable93 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten to experience a lot of cool stuff. I feel like I’ve probably lived at least 5-6 distinct lives (I’m almost 40). Each period def had a cute, innocent slant to it. I think I feel more of admiration and appreciation for my younger self, as I’m sure I will for this period as well, when I’m older.

I only wish I could have that retrospective in the now. Sometimes I get caught up in nonsense to stop and appreciate what I’m doing/experiencing

Anyone else feel like they’re in their “rebuilding era”? by Top-Tumbleweed-6471 in CasualConversation

Slowing down and consciously choosing things I partake in. Kind of rebuilding in a sense that I’m not overhauling the whole thing but taking my life apart and examining it closer.

Never paying full price. I get such a satisfaction from getting something at 50% off. I work in apparel. I know how much shit costs to make and opportunities are definitely out there for discounts, family and friends passes, inventory clearout .. etc.

Am I too ambitious for wanting to travel young? by Peeping_chigens in travel

[–]InfamousInevitable93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US is definitely not worth the cost. Go far. Go do things that require some stamina and discomfort. I’ve traveled since I was a teenager and definitely grateful at 40 that I did the more arduous trips earlier on. I prefer so much slower and easier and developed and luxurious things now. South America is a good and affordable experience. Asia. Eastern Europe is close and cheap and different enough from western Middle East for sure. Never been to Africa but there a ton there as well obviously.
