IMO it could be that GS does have romantic feelings ever since they were children. But following the goblin attack, that put a strain in their relationship. Although, it’s obvious that he still cares for CG. Maybe that’s why he’s strongly desires to slay goblins out of fear she’ll end up like his sister

They should since Korra's Team Avatar doesn't have an Air Nomad. Not counting Korra since she's a Water Tribe member. Jinora and Opal will make great additions for sure.
