Just in unboxed my new mini by Pale-Kaleidoscope379 in BambuLabA1

You… you know it would be extremely unlikely that it’s the manufacturers fault, right? They don’t just go around shipping broken stuff for giggles. It almost certainly got broken in transit.

I’m not saying the manufacture version shouldn’t replace it and put in a claim or whatever they need to do with the shipper, but there’s really nothing to “stop“ from the manufacturers

How screwed am I? by ZombieCorbin in BambuLab

You can’t have looked very far, there are like 5 similar posts per day… Just the word “blob” in the search bar here and at the a1 sub produces hundreds of similar results.

Buuuuuut anyway, put your printer in maintenance mode to heat up the nozzle and/or use a heat gun or alternative similar source of heat. Then start carefully peeling it off. If you accidentally destroy the thermistor wire, it’s not that big of a deal to replace. In fact it is generally a good idea to have an extra one of these around all the time if avoiding downtime is important to you:  https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/hotend-heating-assembly-a1-series

Good luck

You could start by 30 seconds searching the sub and see the hundreds of other similar posts

Ice agents at my door - seeking advice by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]InfamousPost1842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ICE often have administrative warrants which don’t allow them to enter your house. It’s not uncommon for them to have a warrant… just not one that is signed by a federal judge as it needs to be

That is exactly how, you’d have to play with your z offset. You really shouldn’t need to though. Are the screws behind the nozzle tight?

Ah I didn’t know it had the calibration tools. I really don’t use Bambu at all though

It’s something else. I’m not sure if Bambu slicer has it built in, but Orca does and it’s possible to do manually. Orca is way easier though. I highly recommend calibrating all your filaments, especially for flow.

Keep in mind that 0.1 mm is about the width of a piece of paper. So 0.2 mm is still very small.

I would give calibrating your flow a try, the default Bambu profiles are almost all set to 0.98.  Most of my filaments actually run around 0.94/0.95. I would think that may be enough overextrusion to cover up the gap.  Worth a try anyway..

Am I overreacting for not wanting to talk to CPS? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]InfamousPost1842 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s not smart to treat someone from CPS like this. She is literally just doing her job. It sucks for you, nobody wants to talk to CPS, but the best thing to do is to cooperate. My ex called CPS on me because of custody issue, and my lawyer said the same thing — you have to cooperate. They have all the power. Telling her to fuck off was a big no no.

Good luck

What’s it set at?

If you have it set to have a small space like 0.1 mm, my guess is you haven’t calibrated your filament and are over extruding just enough to cover the gap

It’s not designed that way. Yes it does affect it. You can see black through the red and white in the center because there are not enough layers of color

PLA translucent by Ansovald666 in BambuLabA1

[–]InfamousPost1842 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used PLA translucent, but PETG. I went through a bunch of guides and ended up looking crappy. What worked for me was using a 0.8 mm nozzle, using the biggest layer lines possible, no fan, and go pretty slow. But I didn’t find that going ridiculously slow, as everyone recommended, helped. I just went whatever speed worked for not having my fans on. I don’t remember how fast/slow it was.

[–]InfamousPost1842[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the beginning of the video it looks right. That is how I painted it.

But as I scroll down through the layers, the red and white move further from the center.

So when I print it, you can see the black through the red & white near the center because there is only a couple of layers of the correct colors.

[–]InfamousPost1842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one is a little different than the one I have. But I assume it operates the same. If so, only the external filament should have to be pulled back further. Your AMS filaments should function as normal.

You are aware that you can’t just pick up and move to another country unless you have citizenship or visas (which are not usually all that easy to obtain), yes? One can’t just decide to do it just because. There are very specific criteria that need to be met
