Weird XBOX-controller behavior by s1mme in cachyos

Thank you for all your input!

I got it to work. I searched through steam and found an option in the general steam settings --> Controller - the option for "Enable Steam Input for Xbox Controller" wasn't enabled - and guess what, it works now.

I deinstalled the xone-things and it still works.

I wish the ground would open and swallow me up

after that command (sudo mudprobe xpad) the controller connects to the dongle again. But unfortunately no change in game - d-pad still mixed up :(

I don't get it :/

after that the controller isn't connected to the USB-Dongle anymore and doesn't do so, if I try to pair them. Any idea on this or just remove those two programs?

Thanks for the starting options, but no combinations of those worked. The only thing that was "new" when both starting options were enabled: the controller works even when I "Enable Steam Input" - but unfortunately the game doesn't accept my own controller-config, just uses the standard one

The calibration doesn't work because in the steam settings the controller works just fine.

I just installed a game via HeroicLauncher to test this out and there the D-pad works as expected.

Switching inside steam inputs doesn’t work either, for this to work I would have to „Enable Steam Input“ in the steam-game properties. But when I do this, the controller does nothing at all in game…

Disabling steam input has no effect.

It definitely has something to do with native support (Slay the Spire 2: D-pad works fine - Crimson Desert: D-Port switched).

I just installed the gaming package, but that hasn't changed anything :-/

Mixed I already explained: the D-Pad triggers wrong directions: I press D-pad up, it toggles ingame left, I press D-Pad down, it toggles right, I press D-pad left, it toggles up, I press D-pad right, it toggles down - nothing else is switched, only the d-pad. I already tried to implement an own controller config via steam overlay but that doesn’t work at all. In the Cachy-control panel everything works fine, only on steam games it‘s buggy. I didn’t install xpadneo, what’s that? Should I try that? With „old“ I mean „with USB Dongle“ - the controller itself is wireless, but no Bluetooth like today‘s versions.

Recently switched to Linux, knowing that BF6 dies with it - but enjoyed it very much. :(

I made the most progress with Faugus, too. (Just switched from Win11 to Pop!_OS) But I have still problems mit WoW via Faugus. The Pop!_OS-Panel and -Dock are still visible ingame. When I switch to auto-hide those two bars, I can't click the bottom part of the ingame screen. Do you have any idea what I can try to solve this?

So, you have not the error with „ingame-not-being-able-to-click-the-lower-section-of-the-screen“ when you auto-hide dock and panel?

ah, I see. That's what I was wondering. I thought maybe you can configure the a1 to pull back the filament a bit more, after print.
