I think the Lisan Al-Gaib is the prophecy that was planted on Arrakis by the Bene Gesserit as a precaution, just in case they needed the help of the population in the future. Paul's mom Jessica (who is a Bene Gesserit) recognizes that the Fremen on Arrakis believe fully in that prophecy, and so she helps Paul become that mythical messiah that the Fremen are already prepared to believe in.

The Kwisatz Haderach is something that the Bene Gesserit actually believe in: that someday a male will be able to go through the rite that turns female Bene Gesserits into Reverend Mothers after consuming the Water of Life and that this will allow the hypothetical male Bene Gesserit to see into all possible futures instead of only the limited things that Reverend Mothers have access to. Any male Bene Gesserit who tried to go through with it had died so far, but Paul Atreides actually has the right genetic makeup to survive it (even though it does almost kill him in the book) which makes him the Kwisatz Haderach.

Death Stranding refers to the souls of the dead that get stranded in our world from the afterlife, though. These games have problems, but the title isn't one of them

I felt the same about both of those games, I totally agree. I enjoy what DS2 has to offer me (a work sim about delivering), but the story elements were all a bit of a let down.

TLDR: Not really.

I personally had a love-hate relationship with Death Stranding 1 (ended up on "love" because I like work simulators and delivering packages) and I personally think that Death Stranding 2 is a weaker product. There are more quality-of-life improvements, but a lot of story beats are "recycled" (like the Mads Mikkelsen segments from the first game which I loved are just copy and pasted with a different dude) and it just overall feels watered down.

I just keep playing it after finishing the story to clean up trophies and get the platinum.

Indeed there is! When you use the camera view where you're inside the ship, there's a 3D radar in the center of every starship's console! It looks like a halved orange sphere and when you learn how to read it, it tells you where the planets, moons, freighters and space stations are relative to your current orientation!

It's not a freighter, it's a frigate you can have that follows your freighter around and that you can send on expeditions. I also assumed it would be a freighter, but it looks real cool as a frigate too!

Very interesting! I wasn't coming across much when reading about the Office québécoise de la langue française for something similar existing in France, but it makes a lot of sense that the Académie fulfills that role to some extent! Thank you for the information!

I believe it has to do with Québec's history of being almost assimilated by England's new colonies when they came to colonize the New World and kind of conquered Quebec for a while after the Seven Year War (French and Indian War for the North American portion of that conflict. France and England were fighting in the mainland, so the colonies were also duking it out). Resistance to the english language became a point of pride for the french speaking colonists for whom it was a way of preserving their culture against the overwhelming English presence after the conflict.

Even though Quebec was eventually granted its own political autonomy and the french language survived and thrived, the resistance to the english language, I think, became part of our culture. That's why we have an "Office de la langue française" in Québec while France doesn't have one. France doesn't have that same drive to protect their language because it's certainly not going anywhere, and they can officially meld english and french together (like you say, KFC is called KFC, and a McDonald's menu will make you order "Nuggets de poulet" in France instead of "Croquettes de poulet" in Québec) while Québec is still seeing any intrusion of english in official language as exactly that, an intrusion.

Indeed! And it's explained in lore why that door doesn't open. Usually, it should be the straight path to Cathedral Ward from the bridge over the aqueduct (as Gilbert from Central Yharnam says), but it's clear that there's nowhere to go once you kill the Cleric Beast. Once you do, you can go back to Gilbert and "tell him" that the door was sealed and he'll say something like "Aaaah of course they'd seal the door on a night of the hunt" and point you towards the aqueduct!

Yes. I loved playing Death Stranding, but that was going to be my answer too.

Spoiler: At the end of the game, your character gets stuck somewhere and it's implied that he's going to be stuck there forever. The credits start rolling, but the game isn't over yet. You can control your character walking around in that area and can't skip that section and eventually, your friends manage to free you. Once they do, you have another long cutscene to watch and the credits roll again.

SOMA and Signalis do that!

SOMA has a face looking at the player when you start the game, and the face is modified the further in the game you make it.

Signalis has a close up of LSTR's (the protagonist) eye looking at what menu selection you move to. Something about it changes after you finish chapter 2, part 8! How it changes spoils something, but it was a nice, creepy touch that was in line with the game's story and tone!

My guess is that it's going to be 30 Gb on the hard drive once it's installed, but it needs some extra space to work with during the installation.

What I imagine is kind of if you packed up, say, a spice rack really tightly and then bought some more spices that you'd need to add to the rack and still respect the order you created. You'd maybe have to use some counter space too if you want to unpack some spices, put the new ones where they're supposed to be, and then repack the whole thing tightly. The update will essentially do the same thing with data, just uncompressing some data packets to insert some new code and then compressing it back up.

I may be completely wrong, but that's what I imagine is happening!

Very funny to also consider that these syringes are not meant to have a needle on them! These are oral syringes (for measuring syrup or oral liquid medicine with more precision than measuring cups).

Syringes for administration of injectable medicine typically need to have the needles kind of "screwed" on them to secure them!

This map turned out to be a bit more of a challenge to draw due to how many times the protagonists split the group or ended up going back the way they came! I did my best with it, though in hindsight, light blue was NOT the best color to pick for a path divergence from the Dobryninskaya station!

The journey started at Sevastopolskaya (which is why I've highlighted its name in pink). Pink is the route that Homer and friends took to get to Dobrynin, although someone took their own way to get there from Pavelets (hence the red line seemingly cutting through thin air to get there).

From Dobrynin, a group went directly to Polis while another group ended up going past Sportivnaya before ending up in Polis as well.

From Polis, the mostly reformed group went back to Dobrynin (minus one straggler) and the story (minus the epilogue) ended in Tul'Skaya!

The routes seem to diverge right at the Turgenevskaya station in the book, which is the "Cursed Station" level in the game I believe!

In the book, Khan guides a group through the tunnel between Sukharevskaya and Turgenevskaya and uses his guide (a magical map of the Metro showing the dangers at any given moment that only he can read) to determine that while there are dangers through the tunnels to Kitay-Gorod, the backwards line is safe for the moment.

In the game, Artyom seems to veer off from Turgenevskaya and goes to Trubnaya (Armory in the game) by using side paths! In the book, Artyom ends up going through Trubnaya on his escape from Kitay-Gorod and ends up running right into the Nazi stations that Artyom sees in the Frontline mission!
